I wanted to talk about what to do if you getting no’s, if people are saying to
you, “No, I'm not interested in buying your product or no I don't want to join
your business.” Or in whatever other field of life you’re getting the no’s. The
title of this blog today is if you're getting the no, if people are saying to
you no, that means you probably don't know something as in K-N-O-W.
The only reason when you get an objections or when you're getting people to say no and they shoot down your offer is when probably you didn't say the right thing or when probably you didn't build enough value or probably you didn't show to them the benefits they can get and so on and so on.
Most of the time like once in a while, everybody gets a no, even if you the best pro in the world, even if you're awesome of awesome, even if you the greatest salesman in the world, everybody will get a no once in a while. But if you're trying to build your customer base, or you're trying to build your team, and you're constantly getting no, no, no, no, I'm not interested. I'm not interested. I'm not interested, I’m not buying from you, not buying from you, then there's a pattern.
And if there's a pattern, that means there's something's broken, something needs to be fixed, and nine times out of 10 if you're constantly getting rejection, if you're constantly getting the no’s, that means you probably don't know something, you're probably not saying something in the right way, you're probably not doing something in the right way, you're probably not asking the person in the right way, you're probably not presenting the product in the right way, you probably not showing the business in the right way, or whatever it is, something is broken because what you have to ask yourself, “Hey, is there other people in my company successfully selling the product? Is there other people successfully building a team in my company? Is there other people successfully making money in my company?”
If the answer is yes to all the three questions, yes, these people selling the product. Yes, these people building the team. And yes, there's people making good money in this business, and you are not, then there's nothing wrong with the company. There is something wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with you, it's just you don't know something yet. They are probably more advanced than you. They probably know a little bit more than you. What’s the solution to this challenge? What is the solution to this problem?
Of course, it is all about learning. That means if you don't know something, you need to think what can I read? What can I watch? What can I listen to? What training I can attend? Who can I ask? Maybe I could have a chat with my sponsor, with my lead or with my mentor. Think about how can I know more? How can I learn more so that I know more so that I get less no’s?
Because the more I learn, the more confident I become, the more articulate I become with how I explain the product or the business the more proficient I become on using social media, the more results I get, the more yeses I get. Whenever you getting a no, it's just shows a lack of experience, it just shows lack of knowledge. It just shows lack of confidence. It just shows lack of competence. And all of that can only come from you investing in yourself, learning your trade.
If somebody is a car mechanic and you bring that person a car that has a breakdown, and that car mechanic goes into the car tries and tries and tries and they can't fix the car, and they get another mechanic and that mechanic comes and fixes the car. What does that show? It doesn't mean that the car is unfixable. It just shows that that first mechanic didn't know enough to fix the car and the more senior mechanic in, bam, and fixed it, and showed the new one, showed the young mechanic, “Hey, this is what you have to do in this situation.”
Well, same thing applies in your business. You have to keep upgrading your knowledge, you have to keep upgrading your skill in order to get better at it, is just in this case, you're not fixing cars, you are selling your business or you selling your products, and when you know more, then you’ll get less no. But if you're getting a lot of no’s, that means you don't know enough.
It’s totally okay. And when you have that, when you understand that, when really you understand that, then it's such a freeing feeling, it's such an empowering feeling because you're no longer beating yourself up and saying, “Oh, I’m too stupid. I'm so unlucky. Oh, it doesn't ever work for me.” You stop doing all of that crap and you say, “Hey, that means I don't know something. Hey, I need to learn something more.” If you don't get a result on Facebook, you don't go beating yourself up, “Oh, I’m so stupid.” You go, “Hey, I need to study Facebook more.
Maybe I need to do a course. Maybe I need to read a book. Maybe I need to watch a video about how to deal on social media.” If you're not getting results on Instagram, you can go, “Hey, how can I learn to get better on Instagram?” If you're not getting very good results face to face, “Hey, how can I learn to be better face to face, maybe I need to read, Think and Grow Rich, maybe I need to learn how to win friends and influence people to become better at talking to people, to become better communicating.”
It’s so empowering because you’re no longer beating yourself up. Instead you just think, “Hey, what do I need to know? What do I need to learn in order to fix this situation in my business, in order to improve this result in my business?” When I've learned that, oh my gosh, it was one of the biggest breakthroughs for me, because I no longer started, I no longer started throwing myself a pity party. I no longer started giving myself a hard time. Instead, I just thought, “Okay, what can I read? What can I watch? What training I can attend? Who can I ask? Who can I speak to? Who can help me to solve that challenge in my business to improve that result in my business?
It's totally empowering because now you go, “Oh my gosh, I can't do anything.” Because even if the stuff that I'm not good at right now, I can find a book about that. I can find a video about it. I can find a course. about it, and I can learn, and I can figure out anything I want. How awesome is that? It is the best feeling in the world. It’s so empowering for you in your business.
