Today I wanted to talk to you about how to get
better results in business, how to get people to respect you more and help you
more. So the title of this is don't bring me a monkey without a banana. So what
does that mean?
It means that when you’re coming to somebody with a problem, you should never just come with a problem always bring a solution as well. So don't bring me a monkey without a banana means, don't bring me a problem without a solution. If you want people not to help you, if you want people to hate you, if you want people to avoid your calls, if you want people to not be happy with you, if you want not to get great results in business and in other areas of life then just keep going around telling all your problems to people and telling how hard things are and how horrible life is and how difficult it is, just keep doing that and then you'll have plenty of people will go, “Oh my gosh this person calling again, I don't want to even answer,” because you are person who brings in the doom and gloom, the person who brings everybody down, the person who is not very exciting to be around but if you change it very slightly, you can have people who want to help you, you can have people who will be proud to work with you, you can have people that will want to hang around with you and that's when you come in with a problem you straightaway think of a solution.
So you don't go to somebody and go, “No! It sucks!” No you come with them and you go, “Look this is a problem I have and I’m thinking of doing this, what do you think?” If you come to your mentor, if you come to your sponsor, if you come to your up line leader, if you go to your company and you go here's the problem, here's the challenge, here's the difficulty and that's how I propose we solve it. Oh! They will love you for that because you make their life easier. You’re coming to them already with solutions, you’re coming to them already with an idea, and so they see that you're not just a lazy person who can't be bothered to move off their butt. They see that you’re not just throwing all the problems as an excuse for you not to do the work instead, they see that you are proactive, they see that you’re thinking about how to solve it but maybe you just need some advice, maybe you just need some guidance, maybe you just need some tweaking.
Sometimes I have team members come to me and go, “Hey here's the thing I’m planning to do, here's the thing I’m thinking of doing what do you think?” and it might be a great idea but just needs maybe few tweaks and then they go and rock and roll it and then go and achieve great results with it. That's my advice for you, if you want to get more out of your life always think; okay for first of all can I solve this problem, can I solve this challenge. Two, what could I do? What action could I take, what steps could I take and then go to somebody and go, “Hey look I have this challenge, I’m thinking of doing this do you think it's a good idea or would you advise something else?” and people will be a lot more likely to help you, they will be a lot more willing to help you because they see that you're resourceful. You're not just sitting there and crying but they see that you are being resourceful, you're thinking because too many people are not thinking, they're not using their brain they just want to be spoon fed.
Like if you ever watched those documentaries with the birds how the bird flies over the nest and how does the bird feed the little birds it just gives the food and puts it in the mouth that's how a lot of network marketers out there are. Just waiting for you to spoon feed them, just waiting for you to recruit people for them, just waiting for you to sell products for them, just waiting for you to build a business for them, ain’t going to freaking happen! It’s just not realistic it's just doesn't work like that anybody who achieves any level of success they are proactive, they’re taking action, they’re doing things by themselves, they’re thinking, they’re looking, they’re browsing.
There's a secret website that you might want to write this down, you want to want to grab a pen and a piece of paper and write this down because it's very important website because you can find a lot of solutions there, it will have an answer to very many questions that you will come across in your business but it's a very little known website so you might want to write this down, are you ready? It spelled G-O-O-G-L-E, yes Google yes, like most of the stuff like; how do I upload a video to YouTube, Google, how many friends can I have on Facebook? Google, how can I not get blocked on social media? Google.
Like 99% of the things that you will come up with challenges or questions you are so blessed you cannot even imagine. 20 years ago people had to pull out an encyclopedia Britannica and flip through pages looking for answers go to library you don't need to do that anymore. You just pull out your phone or bring up your computer go on Google and go how do I do that, how does the snap chat work, how does the Instagram work, how can I do a live? And they will come up with answers like magic, incredible but there will be questions that you won't have answers, there will be questions you might not be able to find answers on Google and that's where your sponsor comes in. But come with them already with solutions, come with them already with ideas and they will help you a lot more.
