Today’s topic is “be so good they can't ignore you”. So this is the recipe for success. A lot of people are not getting results, they're not getting where they want to get and they are not getting the results that they want to get and they're like, “Oh, what should I do? What can I do? What else can I do?” And really success, especially in business, it's all down to doing more than everybody else, but I'm not talking about doing 50 times more than everybody else. You know, they say the difference between ordinary and extra ordinary is just that little word extra, it’s just doing a little bit extra, it is just doing a slightly more than everybody else, it is just going that extra mile.
So if you want to become successful, if you want to get results then be so good, they can't ignore you. You don't need people supporting you, you don't need people recognising you, you don't need people going, “Oh my gosh, you’re amazing.” You don't need that. I mean, it's great if you have those things but you don't need that to become successful in business. All you have to do is just decide to be better than everybody else, to do more than everybody else, and outwork your sponsor. If you're in the business and your sponsor is not great or your sponsor is this and that, awesome, do more work than your sponsor, do more work than your sponsor’s sponsor, do so much that the company goes “Who the heck is that? They're recruiting like crazy, they're selling like crazy, we need to call them, we need to find out who are they.”
I've been in network marketing for eight years and I don't know how many times I heard these stories where somebody who's now a huge leader says, “Well when I first started I didn't know what I was doing but I just started recruiting, I just started selling and then somebody way up from my up-line, called me up going, “Hey, man, you looks like you're going crazy. You know, what can I do for you? How can I work with you? How can I help you?” and then they explode. Why? Because they deserve that call. There are a lot of people in network marketing who go, “Oh my up-line is not calling me every day, and they’re not motivating me.” Well why should they? Because you’re not working, you're not doing anything you don't deserve a call from your up-line, you don't deserve a call from your company offering you help because you haven't showed any activity, you haven't showed any work so there's so many people that I met over the years who quit network marketing and they bad mouth network marketing or their company or their sponsor going, “Oh nobody ever helped me, nobody ever supported but actually that person was not doing any work whatsoever, you know what I mean? So I'm not saying hey stop supporting your team members’ etc., what I'm saying is that as a leader, as a business builder you need to earn these things.
You know life doesn't respond to need, it responds to deserve. So if you need more money, very small chance that you're going to get more money just because you need more money. But if you start going to work, if you start working your ass off, guess what, you're going to deserve more money and you're going to get it. If you need a better relationship, probably you’re not going to get it. But if you deserve a better relationship by treating your spouse better, by giving them attention, by buying them some flowers, by taking them to restaurants, etc., guess what, you're probably going to get a better relationship, you're probably going to have better relationships, not because you need one but because you deserve it. You know what I mean? Just because you need better health doesn't mean you're going to get it but if you start going to the gym if you start eating right, if you start doing all those things, then you're going to deserve better health. Does that make sense to you guys?
Well same in business just because you need to go to the next rank, just because you need to make more money, just because you need to get that brand new car doesn't mean you're going to get it, you probably won’t because if you have the attitude of being needy, you can't go to the top just because you’re needy. But if you start deserving it by showing up consistently, by doing the activity every single day, by looking for people every single day, by looking for customers every single day, by messaging people on social media every single day, by calling your friends and inviting them for cups of coffee every single day and showing your business to them, guess what's going to happen? You're going to deserve whatever you want. You want the level, you want the car, you want the money whatever you want, and you can deserve it by putting in the work.
So again, as the title of this says, be so good they can't ignore you. Again, some of you are saying, “Oh you know my friends and family they’re not joining my business, they're not supporting me you know like I'm doing it, I'm inviting them but they’re not joining.” Be so good they can't ignore you; start making so much money in this business with strangers that your friends will go, “Hey man, I want to join your team. Hey man, what are you doing? I keep seeing you getting new cars, traveling the world. I want to join your team. What on earth are you doing?” Be so good they can't ignore you. When they start seeing you on Facebook with a brand new car, traveling, recruiting new people, new people joining your team, you selling products etc., guess what? They're going to start asking questions. They're going to start messaging you and say, “Hey, man, would you consider me to join your team? Would you allow me, would you give me some information? Wouldn’t that be nice? Would it not be a different feeling right? But you can't need that, you can't need your way there but you can deserve it by showing up consistently every single day.
For my millionaires in training, I gave them a DMO - Daily Method of Operation which is an activity list that they need to do every single day in order to progress in their business. But the key word there is DAILY, it's not Monday to Friday method operation, it’s not when I feel like it method of operation, its daily method of operation. What does that mean? That means they have to show up every single freaking day. And what does that do? It gives them results, it gives them sense of pride, it gives them consistency, and it gives them habits that will make their success inevitable. So that's what you want to do, if you want to do it seriously, if you want to get those things then start showing up every single day consistently and be so good, work so hard they can't ignore you. That is you don't have to be great at the beginning, you don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to become great. So at the beginning, you might not be doing a very good job. You might not be the pro recruiter or the pro seller or whatever, totally fine. Just keep showing up with your own work ethic.
If you work hard enough, you get lucky. There's so many people will go, “Oh, if only I got lucky and I found that person.” Well that's not the type of luck I'm talking about. I'm talking about if you work hard every single day, then you get lucky. Actually you don't get lucky you just get the result, you just get the reward for showing up every single day. But if you're looking for that next leader in your team, go and speak to 1000 people - you’ll find a leader I can guarantee you but if you speak to three and you go, “Oh, I spoke to three today nobody joined my team. I quit.” Then it’s not for you, you're not going to make it I can tell you right now.
All right guys, I hope this makes sense, be so good they can't ignore you, make that your motto, make that your credo every single day. I need to be so good they can't ignore me. I need to be so good that the company can't ignore me. I need to be so good that my sponsors can't ignore me. I need to be so good that my friends and family can't ignore me. That's the key to success.
