You’re NOT just recruiting ONE person

I want to talk about recruiting networks. So the title of this blog is that you're not just recruiting one person.

A lot of people cannot see beyond what's in front of their face. So very often they will be speaking to a prospects, speaking to somebody about the business and all they can see is just this person in front of them, but what you need to understand that nine times out of 10 it's not the person that you're recruiting that will become your leader. Like in nine years that I've been in network marketing, I don't know how many times it happened, where the actual leader, somebody who became really independent, who started crushing the business, etcetera, the actual leader was the person on the second level down, third level down, fourth level down, fifth level down and so on.

So sometimes the person you're introduced into the business, they not going to do that much, but they will introduce somebody, and that person also not going to do that much, but they introduce them and somewhere down the line, somebody goes on fire, somebody goes nuts, somebody goes crazy building the business. So you have to bear that in mind that it's not just the person that you're recruiting that you are recruiting.

When you're recruiting somebody into your business, so the idea is that when you're recruiting somebody, you're recruiting the whole network. And in the old dinosaur times of network marketing, they used to sit down with somebody and say, “Write your list, write the 200 friends and family that we can contact about the business.” And with some exceptions, most people never did it. Like I never did it. I'll be honest with you, when I joined network marketing, they told me to write the list. I've never written the freaking list because it just sounded a lot of work and I've never actually done it.

However, nowadays, it's possible for you to tap into other people's networks much quicker and much more easier. Guess how? You’re on it right now. Facebook. That's right. So now when you recruit somebody new, it's much easier for you to tap into that person's network, or help that person to tap into their network much easier and much quicker. Like, you could do a congratulations post, so somebody joins your business. I can see Nicola jumped on. So Nicola joins our business and she's a superstar. She starts crushing through the ranks. Guess what? I can go on Nicola timeline, I can do a congratulations post and say, “Wow Nicola, you're incredible superstar. You're amazing. you're rocking this thing, you’re inspiring me, I love working with you, you are incredible businesswoman. And by the way, if you know Nicola, if you'd like to find out about her products, send her a message. Or if you'd like to earn some extra income, also contact her and she will show you how to do it. Bam, I've just tapped into the whole of Nicola’s network.

You recruit somebody else, you can do the same thing. You can help those people to tap into the network very easily by using social media. Before, it was hard work, because you had to call each person individually. So again, coming back to the point that you need to see beyond the person because sometimes you'd be recruiting person and they're not a superstar. Sometimes you recruit somebody or you’ll think of recruiting that person and you'll go, “Ah, they're not that ambitious. They're not that hard working. They're not that whatever. I don't want to recruit them, they wouldn't be really good for my business.” Doesn't matter. One, it's just the story you telling you in your head, you don't freaking know if they're going to be good or not until you give them the chance. So that's one.

But number two, even if you're right, even if you're right, that they're not great that they wouldn't be superstar in your business doesn't really matter, because it's not about them, it's about who do they know? And who do those people know? And who do those… I don't know if you've ever heard, there’s a thing called six degrees of separation, where it basically says that you are six people away from anybody on this planet. Like you know, somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows the Pope. You know, somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows Donald Trump. You know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows Brad Pitt. Like literally you are within six people from anybody on the planet. So just think about the power of that of tap routing, and going through somebody contacts.

Each person in your business is like a window. Yeah, you want to help this person to get going, yes, you want to help this person to make money, yes, you want to help this person to become independent to be a leader, but even if they don't, it doesn't really matter because they can take you to other people and those people can take you to other people and those people can take you to other people until you will find some superstars, until you will find some rock stars, until you will find some leaders. But hey, you need to look after everybody then because if you bring somebody into the business, and they're not super active, and they're not super extroverted, and they're not super killing in the first day, you can't just give up on that person because if you don't take care of this one person, what's the chance of them bringing their friends along? No bloody chance.

If I join your business and you don't look after me, why the hell would I bring my friends? Why would I recommend you to anybody? Because you gave me crap service, you know what I mean? But even if that person is not ambitious, they don't want to make money, they don't want to succeed in business, but you do a such an exceptional job, looking after them, supporting them, giving them tools, recognizing them, appreciating them, loving them, so if you really do a great job looking after somebody, then they will bring their friends anyway. Then they will recommend you even if they decide not to do the business, they'll still send the people your way because you were so great, because you looked after them so well.

So look at each person, when you're recruiting somebody, you're not just recruiting that one person, you’re potentially recruiting their whole network of people. So don't limit yourself just with the stuff you see in front of you, you know what I mean? So, that's my advice for you. So if you want to really get great results, think about recruiting the whole network. Okay, so that's my tip for you.
