Your mind needs a MENTOR

I want to talk about why your mind needs a mentor. The title of this blog post is that your mind needs a mentor.

What's a mentor? Mentor is a person who helps you out, who gives you a tip, who gives you advice, who you can learn from, who you can model; model meaning copying them; watching what they do, and doing similar things will usually give you a similar results. And it's basically a person who knows the road ahead, because if you're going on your own, then you're fighting against all of these problems, and you never know what to expect.

But very often, when you have a mentor, the mentor will have already walked the road ahead and they will know the path, they will know the struggles, they'll know the problems that you are about to come across and they can prepare you for that. Also, when you do come across a problem, often it may look like, “Oh my Gosh, I don't know what to do. I don't know how to solve this problem.” But your mentor could go, “Oh, yeah, it's simple. You just do this, that and the other.” Because they’ve come across this problem before and they have a solution.

In my life I've had many mentors, some of whom I communicated like face to face, like they were a physical mentor. Others who never knew that I existed; whose books I read, whose videos I’ve watched, whose programs I bought and attended, but all of these people have helped me to grow, and to learn and to adopt and to use that information. So you always want to have a mentor or a couple who you can learn from, because like they say if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room because that means you're no longer growing, you're now declining. I don't want to ever decline. I always want to grow; I want to be 80 years old and still growing and still learning and still developing.

That's why I always look for people who I can learn from, and they become my mentors. So I start learning from them, I start reading their books, watching their training courses, attending their events, in order for myself to grow, and in order for myself to get better and better. So always try to look for a mentor that you can learn from; that should be a person who you want to have similar result like they do or you want to be like them or you want to have things like they have and you can learn from these people and get better and better.
