You DON’T have to LIKE it

Today I'm going to talk about the fact that you don't have to like it. What do I mean by that? Well, a lot of people who not yet achieved results they look at successful people and they look at what successful people achieved and they say, “Ah, it probably was easy for her. Ah, he probably is natural at it, he loves doing it, etc.” And guess what, when it comes to doing the work, in network marketing, that means talking to prospects, sending messages, calling leads, doing three way calls, prospecting people, as you're going on your daily basis.

Guess what, a lot of it is going to suck. A lot of it is going to be uncomfortable and people who are successful, you may think that, “Oh, for them. It's just a piece of cake. They absolutely love it.” No, they don't. No they don't. It's still sucks for them too, it still gives butterflies in the belly for them too, it’s still is hard for them too, but the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is that successful people, they feel the fear and they do it anyway. They know it sucks and they do it anyway. They know it's difficult, they know it's hard. They risk the same ridicule and the same laughing at them, but they still do it. That's the difference. You don't have to like it. You just have to do it. That's all there is to it. Just to do it.

A lot of people make these stories up in the head, “Oh, that person probably is naturally extroverted, oh that person probably they are naturally talented at talking to people.” And that is complete BS. One of the biggest myths in business is the saying that if you love what you're doing, you'll never work a day in your life. What a bolone? What a load of BS, it doesn't exist.

Yeah, you might enjoy the results of what you've done, you might enjoy the results of your business, the fact that you can fly the first class, the fact that you can go on holiday, whenever you feel like it. The fact that you can drive £100,000 car and the fact that you can live in the house of your dreams, you might love that, but you might not love the way you get there.

What do you think the gold medal winner at Olympics; he loved every second of that training? Waking up early. They hated it. It sucked, but they did it because they knew that unless they do it, they won't get that gold medal. Do you think that singer who's now in the top charts with the number one song do you think she loved it as she was going for all the practices, hours and hours and hours of perfecting her voice and perfecting her craft. You are delusional if you think she loved it. You need to understand that you don't have to love it. You don't have to like it. You don't have to enjoy it. You just have to do it.

Because unless your goal, unless your vision, unless that person you have to become is that important for you, then you're not going to do the work. You'll find an excuse. “Ah, I need to clean up my desk. Oh, I need to sharpen my pencils. Oh, I need to label all of my products. Oh, I need to take out the expired samples. Oh, I need to update my catalogs.” You'll find everything else to do but not to do the things that you have to do. And guess what if you woke up today, or you wake up tomorrow, and there's one thing that you really don't want to do, that you really feel uncomfortable doing it. Guess what? It's the thing you need to do! Because that's the thing that's going to move the needle, that's the thing that's going to get you that recruit, that's the thing that's going to get you that customer, that's the thing that's going to get you that next level. The thing that you don't want to do, the thing that is uncomfortable the thing that you don’t feel like doing, and hey, all excuses are equal. If you start, “Oh, it's because my accent because I'm not from around here. You know I'm from Lithuania. So I can't do this business because of my accent. Oh, because I'm left handed. Oh, because I have a lazy eye.” You know what; you can make up the bloody excuses all day long. All excuses are equal. What you have to think about is if somebody else would step into my shoes right now, with all the challenges I'm having, could they still crush it and achieve results in this business? If Tony Robbins came into your life, in your situation, could he still crush it in your business? And the answer is yes. You might go, “Oh, it’s so hard to find information on their website.” And then you see people going on a stage who are blind and who achieved success in business and they are blind. They don't see the website. You go, “Oh, having these phone calls it’s so hard.” And then you meet somebody who's crushing in business and they’re deaf so they can’t have that bad phone call, because they can't have any phone call. And you're still making excuses. Forget about it. You have to do what others won’t so that later you can live like others can't, there's no way around it. There's no shortcut. There's no excuse. There's no way around, it just has to be done.

That's really what you need to think. So you need to work on building a stack of habits that make your success inevitable. You have to develop a set of habits that will make success in business for you inevitable. If you have a daily method of operation, if you have a daily stack of habits like doing personal development every day, like calling people every single day, like speaking to your team members every single day, like reaching out to people on social media every single day, like maybe doing a Facebook live every single day, or putting something on YouTube or putting something on your blog,  if you have that set of habits and a habit is something you do every single day,  is something that you persist that you're consistent with, you don't do it for three days and go, “Ah. It’s not working. I'm not going to do it.” But if you build that stack of habits that makes your success inevitable, then your success is inevitable. If you do those things every single day, there's no way for you to fail in the business. There's no way for you not to achieve success. But are you man enough and are you a woman enough to stick to it long enough because too many people they give up too easily. Too many people quit before the finish line and they go, “I have done it for a week. Nobody said yes in doing my business, it’s not working.” and whatever, right? Get over yourself. Just keep doing it, stay consistent. If you want to achieve anything, you have to be consistent and you don't have to like it. Once again, you might hate every minute; you might hate every phone call. It doesn't matter as long as you do it and you'll see you'll start getting results and you're waiting probably to hear and you’re going to start liking it, you won’t and it's okay. It's totally fine for you to hate doing it right and you're still going to get the results even if you hate it. It's totally fine. And then when you get the rewards when you get on the stage, when you get your prize, when you get your cheque, then you're going to love it, I promise you okay and you'll say it was worth it.
