Why you should spread your business over different platforms?

I want to talk about why you should spread your business across different platforms. Why you should spread your business across different platforms.

A lot of people only build their business using one platform which is Facebook, and I get it. I understand why because it's so easy to use. It's so versatile. There’s so many people on it, you can virtually build a tremendous business just by using Facebook. But there's one problem with that. You don't own your Facebook profile. Facebook does. Facebook only allows you to use your profile, as long as they're happy with it.

But at any time, at any moment, Facebook can press a button, and your profile disappears, and your groups disappear and your pages disappear. So even though it is an incredible tool, and I'm not saying don't do business on Facebook, don't use Facebook to build your business. Definitely do, definitely use Facebook, I'm using and I'm making a lot of money from it, however, don't just stay on one platform. Because if you only own one platform, and God forbid you lose your profile, you lose all of your business.

But if you're on Facebook, on Instagram, on LinkedIn, on YouTube, you collect email addresses of your subscribers, you maybe have your own telegram channel, and so on, now, you’re spreading across platforms. So if one of those platforms goes down, or one of those profiles get shut down, you don't lose all of your business. So this way, you're not just dependent on that one social media platform to pray for God, they allow you to keep using it.

So even though yes, we have these platforms like Facebook, light Instagram, that are incredibly useful and we can build tremendous businesses using it, it's always good to have other channels of communication with your customers, with your team members, with your potential business partners, and so on. So this is why for example, if you can collect email addresses of your tribe, of your customers, of your team members, then you have another channel of communication via email.

If you collect phone numbers, and you have WhatsApp communication or telegram communication, then you've got another channel to communicate with your people. So this way you're more versatile and you're more protected in your business against these instances when things can happen. Now, it might not ever happen to you, you might have your profile for the next 50 years and everything will be fine, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
