Why You Should Have A Daily Target?

Posted by Gediminas Grinevicius on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 Under: Personal Development

I want to ask you a question, why should you have a daily target, or instead I'd like to tell you why you should have a daily target.

So very many people, when they first get started in the home based business, they look at it as a hobby and not even when they just get started, but for a long time, many people look at their home based business as a hobby, as a side thing. So if they make some money, it's okay. If they don't make any money, it's okay too. So it becomes something that is not that important, not that vital, not a priority in their life and that's why they struggled in to make it happen.

Because when I look at successful people in home based business, guess what? They commit to making money, they commit to making progress, they commit to getting results. Whereas what unsuccessful people do, they just commit to doing it. They just commit to sticking around, hanging around. They like the positivity, they like the training, they like to call themselves an entrepreneur, but they don't commit to actually making results, getting results. They don't commit to making the money.

When I speak to some business partners in network marketing and I ask them, “Well, how much money did you make last week? How much money did you make last month?” And the person might go, “Well, I only had one sale, so I made 20 pounds last week?” So my question then to that person, “Hey, if you went to work, if you had a job and you've worked for a week and they paid you 20 pounds, how long would you hang around in that job?” Silly question, right? Because you’d go, “Oh my gosh, if I have a job and they paid me 20 pounds for a week, that's way too low. It’s not enough.” So why would you accept that from your home based business?

Now, of course, if you made 20 pounds last week, probably you didn't work that hard, probably you didn't approach that many customers, probably you didn't do that many presentations, but that's the point. So you have to set yourself a target, a daily targets, a weekly target, a monthly target, how much money do you have to make in your home based business for it to be worthwhile, because it's no good to be casual about it, to do it as a hobby and then six months later, turn around and go, “Oh, this business doesn't work. I haven't made any money.” Well, you haven't made a goal, you haven't made a target, you haven't aimed at anything and then you turn around and say the business doesn't work.

So you have to commit to yourself, how much money do I need to make in my home based business every day, before I go to bed? How much money do I have to make in my business monthly, so that I'm satisfied, so that I know I'm reaching my target. Because once you start setting those targets to yourself, now it becomes real, now it becomes true business, is no longer a hobby, is no longer something that you just do for fun, but this is actually a business now.

So you have to start setting targets for yourself to get results. How many people will you recruit into your team this week? How many sales will you do in your business this week? What sort of team turnover will you do in your business this week, this month, this quarter, this half a year and so on because if you don't know your numbers, you don't know your business. If I went to a local grocery store and I asked them, how many cans of baked beans have you sold last week? They could tell me exactly the exact number, 33.

Why? Because they running a business. They not doing a hobby, they not just hanging around in that shop. They know exactly what is happening in the shop, they keeping track of the numbers, and they know what to expect next week and next month and the month after, because they are running a business, because they're serious about it, but then I look at home based business owners at network marketers and they're just like ridiculous. They have no clue. Like I ask them, “How many distributors have joined last week or last month?” “I don't know.” “How many are you expecting to do in this month?” “I don't know.” “What was the point Stoneleigh? What was the amount of sales? How much money did you make?”

So it has to become serious for you before you start getting serious results. If you do this as a hobby, then you're going to have a hobby income and then you're not allowed to complain about it because you made a choice. So you have to be real with yourself and your business. And I seriously would like to advise you to stop treating your home based business as a hobby. I know it's not your main source of income at the beginning, because you have your full time job that's paying the bills, and you doing this to build your financial freedom, but it's not Sunday.

It's not one day. It's not whatever. It's now, if I'm doing this, then I have to become serious about it, that I have to have a target, a goal. What am I doing? How many people am I approaching every day? How many presentations am I doing a week? How many phone calls am I doing every single month? How many meetings am I doing, how many conference calls with my team, how many team members I'm talking to? And so on and so on.

You have to have goals, targets, objectives like a real business person, only then your business can start moving forward and you can start receiving some results. So that's my tip for today guys, start treating your business as a business and not as a hobby. Start setting targets and goals for yourself every single day and don't go to bed until you hit your target. You'll see some transformation in your business if you do that.

That’s my training and tip for you. Hope you got value some value in this blog post, if you did, feel free to share it with other people.
