Why you should be in a HURRY?
This topic is why you should be in a hurry. If you do get value from this blog, feel
free to share maybe somebody else will get value from watching it too. Okay, so
why you should be in a hurry?
Now the reason why you want to be in a hurry is
so that you get less questions, less objections and less resistance to your
message. Now if you'd like to get less resistance, then you need to listen up.
So when I say why you should be in a hurry, I don't mean why should we talking
fast. No, you don't need to talk fast, but what you want to do is make sure
that the person you talking to knows that you're in a hurry. So this can be a
phone conversation, this can be a face to face conversation, it works either
way, and it's called BIC or break in communication. And you set it up in front,
ahead off when the person will ask you, and this way, it helps you to avoid any
questions, to avoid resistance.
So how would that sound? Well, let's say I'm
calling somebody and I want them to come to a business opportunity
presentation. Or maybe I want them to watch a video about my business. So I
call that person and if I don't include the break in communication, if I'm not
in a hurry, and I'll say, “Hey, Denise, how you doing? Would you like to take a
look at my business?”
The
chances are that she'll say, “Well, what is it? Tell me more about it.” They
won't go, “Well, okay, I'll come to the presentation.” They will ask you, “What
is it? Tell me now.” And now you can’t not tell them. You can't go, “Oh no,
sorry, I'm in a hurry.” Because that sounds a bit like you're avoiding it. So
instead, you set it up in front of your speech.
How would I mean, I would
call somebody and I would go, “Hey, I'm glad I caught you. There is something
very important I want to share with you. The reason I'm about to go in a
conference call, so I can't talk very long, but there is a meeting happening in
your area on Tuesday, can you come? And I have to go.” So because I set it up
in advance, now the person kind of go, “Well, what is it? Tell me more about
it.” I just told them, I have to jump off the call in a minute to go on a
conference call but very quickly, I wanted to share something. So this way, the
person will give you less resistance and less questions because they know
you're in a hurry.
So one, it helps you to reduce the
resistance, two, the chances are the person you calling, or the person you
messaging, or the person you're speaking face to face, they're also in a hurry.
They don't have time, but they don't want to tell you, “I don't have time to
talk to you.” So when you call somebody and they all answer and you meet
somebody and the first thing you say, “I'm in a hurry.” They go, “Thank God
because I'm in a hurry too. I don't have time to talk to you either.
So
quickly, what is it?” So it really, really helps and when you say that then see
if there was a question and see him face to face, let's say I'm walking in our
local shops, and I see somebody that I haven't seen for a while and I want to
tell them about the business. I want to send them a video, right? But again, I
don't want them in the middle of the show to start, “Oh tell me more about it,
do a presentation now.” I don't want to do that. So if I bump into somebody, I
go, "Hey,
I'm in a hurry. I have to run because somebody is waiting for me. But I'm
really glad I caught you. I would love to send you some information about this
home based business I got involved with. Would you take a look at it if I sent
to you?” “Yeah great.” “Let me grab your number very quickly, because I have to
go.”
They wouldn’t go, “Well tell me more about it then.” No, because they I
just told them I’m in a hurry. And if they do ask me like, “Hey, but can you
tell me more?”“Sorry, like I said, I'm about to run. But I'll send you all the
info. I promise I'll send you all the information, I promise I'll send you the
details of the next meeting.” You know what I mean? It really helps you to
reduce resistance, helps you to reduce the amount of questions you will get.
When
you tell people that you're in a hurry, and you can say I'm about to go on a
conference call, I'm about to meet with somebody, I'm about to whatever, right?
I'm about to run for the door, but it basically it implies that you haven't got
much time to talk in this way, a person will be more likely to listen. Also, if
you're just making phone calls, you could actually say to the person, “Hey, I
have a 100 people's list in front of my name, and I have to call 100 people
today. So I'm really, really pressed for time.
But very quickly, I wanted to
ask you this question. Hey, would you take a look at some information?” And
again, if the person goes, “What is it?” or like, “Sorry, man, I've got another
99 people to call I haven't really got time, I will send you the video. I
promise. I'll send you the video. Take a look at it. Everything will be
explained there and I’ll get back to you.” You set up the follow up call, you
know what I mean? Definitely very, very simple and it's super, it works every
single time you use it.
Because the person the way the person thinks, like if
you haven't said that at the beginning, and then you go to the pitch and you
pitch them the video or to come to a meeting and they said, “Hey tell me more
about it.” And you try to say, “Oh no, sorry, I'm in a hurry,” then they'll go
they're trying to avoid the questions. It’s as if something is dodgy. But because
you said it at the beginning, how could you have known that they will ask you oh
what is it? Well, you're not a mind reader. You're not a fortune teller right?
So you couldn't have known that they will ask you well, what is it you know,
five minutes ago when you started talking to them right? So really, really make
sense and it definitely works every single time.
