Why Didn’t You Tell Me Before?

The title of today's blog is, why didn't you tell me before? Now guys, I in eight years that I've been in home based business Arena, in network marketing, in entrepreneurship I don't know how many times I heard this phrase. Why didn't you tell me before and guess who say that phrase?

People who you haven't offered the business, I've seen it so many times where you have people around you who you sort of take for granted. Maybe it's your work colleagues, maybe it's your neighbors, maybe it's some of your friends or family members, where you made a decision in your head that the business is not for them, that they wouldn't be interested, that they wouldn't look at your products or whatever and you never offered it to them.

And then years down the line, three, four, five, six years later, somehow it comes out of the conversation and the person says, “Well, I would be interested in that.” And they end up joining your business. And then they say, “Well, wait a second, you've been doing this for five years. You've been doing this for 10 years. And you didn't tell me, why? Why didn't you tell me before? I could have done this business years ago, I could have achieved already, I could have already gotten a car bonus, I could have already retired from my job using the business.”

I lost the count of how many times I heard that by people who I invited into business saying to me, why didn't you tell me before, but also team members? Like I've seen team members recruit people and their people say, “Why didn’t you tell me before about this business? So why do I want to talk about, why do I bring this up?

The reason why I bring this up is that so often, we are being selfish, we are robbing other people of the opportunity because there are people around you right now who are praying every night for God to send them a better opportunity, for God to send them away to make more money, for God to send them away to provide better to the children and the families.

And you are the sign, you are the tool, you are the person who's supposed to give them that opportunity and you're being selfish, because of whatever you decided, because of whatever decision you made that they are not good enough, or they wouldn't be interested, or they earning enough already, or whatever else you made up the story in your head, you're going to rob them of this opportunity by not offering it to them.

It's not about you. It's like, if you feel fear of rejection, if you feel fear of failure, that means you're thinking about yourself too much. Because if you're thinking about that person, if you thinking about giving everybody the chance, if you thinking about blessing everybody with the opportunity, then there is no fear of failure, there's no fear of rejection, because it's not about you anyway, it's about them, it's about giving them the chance.

Don't be one of those people who just keep it to themselves. I call these people network marketing secret agents, because they become network marketers, they join the business, and they don't tell anybody about it, they keep it a secret to themselves. They’re like double 007, so don't do that. And instead, start sharing the opportunity with people.

You can even use this as a way to break the ice, as a way to invite somebody, because you can go to your work colleagues, you can go to your
neighbors, you can go to your friends, you can go to your family and say, “Look Solomon, I've started this home based business and this is my plan, I'm planning to build it to this certain size. I'm planning to make this much money every single month for my business, I'm planning to qualify for this car and I'm planning to qualify for this trip to Mount Eves. And I'm planning to do all of these things. Now, I didn't want you to come to me years from now say why didn't you share with me? So here I am, I want you to give you the same opportunity. Now, I don't know if it's for you or not. I don't know if you would be even interested. All I'm being told by my leaders is to give everybody the chance. So right now, I'm giving you the chance, would you like to take a look at it, because I don't want you to come to me five years from now, when I am successful, when I am making the money, when I am travelling the world, when I am getting all of these gifts from the company, I don't want you to come to me at that time, five years from now, 10 years from now and say, hey, why did you never told me about this thing? Why did you never gave me the chance? So I am here now giving you this chance? Would you take it? Would you like to take a look at it? Would you like an opportunity?”

You can turn it around and use this as a reason to reach out to somebody, as a reason to speak to somebody, or call somebody on the phone or message somebody and go, “Hey, look, I'm starting this amazing project. It might be just an extra cash for me, an extra income opportunity, or might actually develop into something way, way more serious.

Now, I'm just approaching everybody that I know and I'm giving them the same chance. Now I don't know if this is for you or not, but I thought I would ask.” And now the ball is in their court. Now they can't come to you a year from now, three years from now, five years from now, 10 years from now and go, “Hey, how come you never told me about this opportunity? How come you never gave me the chance?” “Yes, I did. I gave you because I messaged you when I first got started.” And because you let them know, now, they might not take it right away, they might not jump on it straight away, but now they know. It's called planting a seed.

Once you told somebody, once you exposed somebody to the entrepreneurship, to home based business opportunity, they cannot unlearn it, it's already in their head. So from now on, whenever they see you travelling, whenever they see you getting your car bonus, whenever they see you earning money, whenever they see you getting a free holiday, they know why, they know that you told them a year ago, two years ago, three years ago about it and the ball is still in their court. They can always come back to you and go, “Hey, the thing you were talking to me about, I want to take another look at that. Now I'm ready.”
So it’s incredible things to do much better than prejudging people and disqualifying them without even giving them a chance, without even asking, “Hey, would you take a look at this thing.”
