What would a person more humble than me learn from this situation?

I want to talk about your mindset towards failure problems challenges. The title of the blog today is what would a person more humble than me learn from the situation?

One of the greatest breakthroughs that happened in my life was when I changed my mindset towards challenges, problems, failures. Now, it's unavoidable. You're going to have some problems, you're going to have some challenges, you're going to have some failures, you're going to have some people criticize you, you're going to have some people hate on you, you're going to have all of these things. Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong eventually, that's Murphy's Law.

If you know that these things going to happen and it's unavoidable, then you might as well learn how to deal with it. Like Tony Robbins says, “Our life is 20% what happens to us and 80% of how we react to what happened to us.” And one of the biggest breakthroughs that I had personally, was when I started asking this question, every time something negative happens, every time I react negatively, if I get angry, or if I get upset, every time something happens not the way I would like it to happen, I asked this question, what can I learn from it? What can I learn from it? What's the lesson here? What's the hidden secret here? What's the hidden opportunity here? What's the lesson here? What can I learn from this? What value can I get from this failure? What value can I get from this problem?

It transformed my mind. It transformed how I react to things because before I would get pissed off, I would get mad, I would get upset. Why does this happen to me? Why does this happen? But it's useless. It doesn't serve any purpose. If you get crazy mad. It doesn't help you in any way. It actually damages your health. So I thought, “Okay, well, that's not serving me. That's not a great approach. What else I could do.” And what I've learned, I conditioned myself now to where every time something happens not the way I would like it, I go, “Okay. I hate that. That sucks. That wasn't great.

But what can I learn from it? How can I use this to make it into a success? How can I use this to turn this into an opportunity? What can I do to actually make money from this problem, to make money this challenge, to make money from this bad situation?” And you know what, nine times out of 10 I find something I can learn from it, I find a lesson, I find a secret I find an opportunity. So if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.
