I want to talk about what to do if you have some negative information about
your company on the social media or on some website or on Google. So
what to do if you have some negative information about your company and if you
do, you'll know you do, probably maybe there's an article or maybe there's
something bad written about your company.
One of the best things you can do to counter act that is to address that right away. So if you’re recruiting somebody into the business, and let's say they watch the presentation, and they like the business and everything, you can challenge them with this question. You can say, “Hey, just wanted to ask you, are you easily influenced by the opinions of other people?” And guess what the answer would be, like almost nobody would say, “Yeah, yeah, I'm totally gullible. Yeah, I'm totally influenced, whatever other people say, I just believe it right away.”
Like, nobody's going to say that. When you ask somebody, “Hey, are you easily influenced by the opinions of other people?” Most people will go, “Well, well, no, no, I make up my own mind.” And then you can say, “Well, I'm glad you say that because you see, like you liked this business opportunity, and you like the information you've seen so far, but if you go and do your research online on Google, you might find some negative articles by some pissed off people. I don't know why, but they just say some negative stuff about a company. But because you just said you're not easily influenced by the opinions of other people, I'm sure that is not going to impact on your opinion.”
What you’re doing, you’re addressing that and you’re demolishing that objection before it comes up. Instead of you letting that person go home, they go and do their research, and they do find something negative and then they go, “Oh, I changed my mind. I'm not I'm not going to do the business.” And even like, you might say, “Well, my company's cool. We don't have any negative information about my company.” Well, what about network marketing in general?
Like network marketing, some people really hate network marketing. Some people are really against network marketing. You could use this also for that. You could say, “Hey, I'm glad you like my business. I'm glad you enjoyed the presentation, but let me just ask you a question. Are you easily influenced by the opinions of other people?” And most people go, “No, no, I make up my own mind, etcetera.” And then you might go, “Great, because you know what, network marketing, some people are against it, some people put some negative stuff about it. So what I want you to do, if you do some research on Google, just take it all with a pinch of salt and make up your own mind, instead of just believing blindly what other people say. Would you do that for me?” “Yeah, totally.” So now you're again, you're addressing the issue before it comes up. And very often that will neutralize that problem very, very easily for you.
