What is your focus for the next 30 days?
I
want to talk about focus, and what you're going to do over the next 30 days. The
title of this blog post is what is going to be your focus over the next 30 days.
Now why do I want to talk about it?
Well, the reason why I want to talk about
it, because a lot of people get overwhelmed. And today we've been watching an
online training event, Success Summit Online run by Frazer Brookes, one of my
mentors, loads of great information, loads of amazing trainings, took a bunch
of notes. And the training carries on for the next two days. It’s just going to
be mind blowing. But I know what happens to a lot of people after big training
events like this, they say, “Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start.”
There are so many things I need to change, there's so many things I need to do. I don't
even know where to start, therefore, I'll do nothing. And that's the craziest
thing. There's so many things to do that people get analysis paralysis. They
get paralyzed by the idea that there's so many different things that they
should do, so they choose not to do anything. And that's, of course, the
biggest mistake.
Instead of that, what I always recommend is when you're
attending a training event like that, look at all the things you've learned and
choose one thing to focus over the next 30 days. I think it was Bill Gates and
Warren Buffett, two some of the richest people in the world, they were
separately asked, “What's the number one key to success.” And both of them
separately said, “Focus.” What you focus on, that's what changes, that's what
improves, that's what grows. It’s like that magnifying glass.
When
you take that magnifying glass, the sun falls through it, and it starts burning.
It concentrates the rays of the sun into one point, and it starts burning. That’s
what focus does, it achieves results. Therefore, if you want to get better
results in your business, in your personal life, in any area of your life,
you've got to focus on it. When you attend a training event, when you get a lot
of information, when you're ready for change, don't try to change everything in
one go. Don't try to change everything in one month.
Instead, choose one thing
and say, “Okay, I'm going to work on this one thing for the next 30 days.” And
master it, become really, really, really good at it. Then the next 30 days
focus on something else. And by doing that, you can literally transform your
life, you can transform your business, maybe one month, you’re focusing on
leadership. You’re reading about leadership, you watching videos about
leadership, you attending trainings about leadership, you're implementing stuff
in your business, that's to do with leadership.
Next
30 days, maybe you focus on sales. Again, you read about sales, you watch about
sales, you learn about sales, you teach about sales, you work with your team on
sales, and you really focus on that one thing. The next month, maybe something
else. And this would bid by bid, item by item, you start transforming your
business, you start transforming your life, but you're not overwhelmed. You're
not stressed, you're not like, “Oh my gosh, there's so many things.” No, it's
just one thing. Next 30 days, it's one thing, I'm just focusing on that one thing,
I'm living it, I’m dreaming it, I’m breathing it. I'm just focused on that one
thing, I'm obsessed by it. Next 30 days, something else and you can totally
change everything in your life if you just focus on one thing.
That’s my
training and tip for you. Hope you got value some value in this blog post, if
