What if someone doesn’t want to see a VIDEO?

I want to talk about what to do, if somebody said they would be open to take a look at your business, but then they don't want to watch the video. So the title of this blog is what if somebody doesn't want to see your video?

So what if you ask somebody, “Hey, would you be open to take a look at my business?” And the person said or you say, “Hey, would you be open to earning an extra income from home?” And they say, “Yeah, I would.” And then you say, “Well, would you watch a video?” And they go, “No, I wouldn’t watch the video.” What does that mean? Like, “Do you just go on and get lost then body?” “Well not necessarily.” It depends on the type of person.

So, some people as you know are visual, some people are auditory, some people are kinaesthetic. So, different people like to receive information in different format. And also, sometimes people live different kind of lifestyle. So, I have heard stay at home moms in the past saying, “Look, I've got three kids screaming their head off, pulling me by the skirt all day long. I don't have 15 minutes to sit and watch the video and focus on it, but if you just call me and tell me what it is, I'd be happy to listen.”

So, to cut the long story short, if you have a person that you reach out to, they say they would be open to take a look to earning an extra income. And then you say, “Well, would you watch a video?” And they say, “Oh, no, I don't like watching video.” Don't be offended by it automatically, right? Just ask them, “Hey, would you like me to call you instead, and just tell you a little bit about what it is.” Now you don't need to do the presentation over the phone, but sometimes just briefly explaining it to somebody can make it tick in their head to where they're going to make time to watch the video, to where it's going to become important for them to watch the video.

What do you say then if you call them? Or maybe you send them a voice message or something like that, right? Well, I like to share three things. First thing I share, I say, “Look, have you ever recommended somebody a movie, a restaurant, a shop?” And almost without exception, they say, “Yes, I've recommended.” And I say, “Well, did you get paid for that recommendation by the movie theatre or by the shop or by the restaurant?” And of course, the answer is no. And I say, “Well, what if you could recommend somebody go shop in Tesco’s and you would get a percentage on the shopping, will that be cool?” They’ll, “Yeah.” “And what if you would get paid a percentage on the shopping for the rest of your life? Would that be even better?” “Well, obviously, right?” “What if I could make it even better? What if that person recommended other people to go shop in Tesco’s and you would also get paid on their shopping for the rest of your life? That would be awesome, right?” And they’d go, “Oh, yeah, definitely.” And I go, “Well, unfortunately, Tesco’s is never going to do that for you.

But in my business, that's exactly what happens. If you recommend somebody our products, you get paid for the rest of your life on the shopping. And if they introduce other people, you'll get paid on those people shopping too. So that's pretty awesome, right?” And they go, “Oh, yeah.” And I go, “Well, second thing is at the end of this month, how much will you get paid for the work you did a year ago? Or two years ago?”

And again, almost without exception, the answers will zero. I wouldn't get paid anything. And I go, “Well, that's true, right? That's like what most people do. But I started with my company nine years ago, I introduced some people that I got paid. But now nine years later, the people I introduced nine years ago are still doing the shopping, are still introducing other people and I'm still making money, I'm still earning on the work I did nine years ago.

Would you like to get paid on the work you did nine years ago?” And they start, “Oh, yeah, I would.” And then I say the last one. That's like the last hit. I go, “Look, when I started getting interested in business, I saw this quote by Warren Buffett, who's one of the richest people in the world. And he said, ‘Unless you find a way to earn money in your sleep, you'll work until you die.’ Now, I'm sure you’re like me, you don't want to work until you die. But I thought how can you make money in your sleep? But in this type of business, that's exactly what happens. Because sometimes you go to bed, next morning, you bring up your back office, and you see, oh, new people joined the team. Oh, new people placed orders. So you're literally making money in your sleep. Would you like to start making money in your sleep?”

Who would go, “No, no, I wouldn't like that?” Like everybody goes, “Absolutely.” Well I go, “Great. So if you’d like to get paid for recommending, if you’d like to get paid for the work you did years ago, and if you'd like to earn money in your sleep, then you need to see the video, then you need to watch the video. When can you take 15 minutes out of your time, so that you potentially can take the rest of your life off?” And very often, the attitude changes, very often they become very interested in watching the video all over sudden, and that's when you get them to watch the video. So I hope this helps.
