The size of your LIFE is in proportion to the size of your COMMITMENTS
Today
I wanted to share with you how to live a bigger life, how to achieve more, how
to have more, and it may be it’s not what you expect, it might be a different
view for you, a different perspective, maybe a different shift, which maybe
will help you somehow. The title of this is the size of your life is in
proportion to the size of your commitments.
So the size of your life is in
proportion to the size of your commitments. So maybe you're one of those people
who want to live a bigger life, who want to achieve more, who want to make more
money, who want to go to the next level, who want to travel the world, who want
to buy that amazing car, or buy that incredible house, but it's just
not happening for you. It's just haven’t happened, you work for a while, but it
hasn't happened yet. What could be the reason? Well, there might be
a lot of reasons but let me put this in a different perspective for you.
Right
now, I can almost guarantee that the amount of money that you’re making every
single month is very close, probably within a couple of hundred pounds, or
dollars or euro’s to your commitments. Which means if you need to pay your
mortgage or your rent, you need to pay your gas bill, your water bill, your
electricity bill, your mobile phone bill, you need to put petrol or diesel in
your car, you have to buy food, you have to pay for kids karate, or whatever it
is, if I took all of your expenses, which is basically your commitments, that's
what you basically committed, because by buying a house or renting a house, you
commit to pay a certain amount every single month, by getting that mobile phone
contract, you commit to pay that certain amount of money every single month,
and so on.
So if I put all of your commitments into one big bunch, into one
monthly amount, I can bet you, it's within a couple of hundred pounds or
dollars or euro’s from what you actually get paid in your job. Hmm,
is that a coincidence? It isn't because you will earn in proportion to your
commitments.
So because you have to make that amount of money live or die,
because otherwise your bills are being paid, otherwise, you’re being kicked out
of your home, you will do whatever it takes to make that money, but in order
for you to go to the next level, to go to the next level of life, sometimes you
have to commit more in order to get there, because sometimes if you're afraid of
that next step, of that next level of commitment, you're afraid to invest in a
coaching program, you're afraid to invest in the event, you’re afraid to invest
in a business, you're afraid to invest in a book, you’re afraid to invest in a
video program, then you cannot expand your life, you cannot to go to the next
level, because you holding yourself down with your present commitments.
Because
if you're present commitments are 2000 pounds a month, 2000 euro’s a month,
then you’ll just carry on making that. If
you want to expand your life, if you want to grow, then you have to commit
outside of what you’re right now doing. So a very good story last year, last
April, actually, almost a year ago, we decided to go to two most powerful women
in network marketing event in Las Vegas.
So we decided to go there, we went to
America, me and my beautiful wife, Rita. It was an incredible event. And
as we're going through that event, of course, they start promoting the next event,
which is in December 2018, which was the GoPro. So they start promoting that
event and I know that if I don't commit to that event, and go home back to UK, there's
no way I'm going to go there. I know that I'm not going to go there. I'll find
an excuse. I'll say, “It's not enough money, or whatever.” I knew that I'm not
going to go to that event in December unless I committed. So after the three
day event finishes in April, we come back to the hotel room and guess the first
thing I do, I booked the plane tickets, and I booked the hotel for December for
both me and Rita. Guess what, now I'm committed, I have to go and make the
money, I have to go and do something in order to fulfill that commitment because
I already paid for it, now I have to make the money, I have to make sure that I
can go there.. And then in December, we go back to the GoPro again, absolutely
incredible event, three days, super pumped, super excited.
And
again, I'm sitting there thinking, well, if only my team members were here. And
again, I know if I go home, I'll do nothing about it. So instead, I go and buy
10 tickets, I commit again, with my money, I commit for 10 tickets. So now I
have to bring my team members, I have to do whatever it takes to get 10 people
with me to Las Vegas in December because I’ve bought 10 tickets, I've committed
to that.
So what I'm trying to say to you, if your life is not going to the
next level, if your business is not going to the next level, maybe you need to
commit to yourself. Find a way how to commit yourself either booking for a
training, or reserve something or invest in a training course or whatever it
is, but you have to start committing yourself to bigger things.
If you have
that dream home, maybe you need to start going and viewing those houses and
maybe even reserve a house, maybe if you have a dream car that you can only get
if you hit the next level in your business, maybe you need to go and take a
look at that car, maybe order that car for it to be made in six months or
whatever so that you’re now committed and you have to make it happen. Of course
don't go crazy and do I don't know whatever, but you need to commit yourself
sometimes before you get there. That’s my lesson for today.
