The PREPARATION is the SEPARATION

Posted by Gediminas Grinevicius on Monday, June 8, 2020 Under: Personal Development

I want to talk about preparation and how and why it's important. The title of this blog is that the preparation is the separation. What do I mean by that?

What I mean by that is that when you look at successful people, and not so successful people, you always try to find the difference. You try to find and see what do successful people do that unsuccessful people don't? And over the years, you start noticing certain tendencies, and over the time you start noticing little differences, little tendencies.

One of the big ones that I've noticed over the years is that the preparation is what separates successful people from not so successful people, especially when it comes to network marketing. Because in a traditional professional sphere, where people study to become a doctor, or study to become a lawyer or study to become whatever, they sort of have to do the preparation while they're studying.

But when it comes to network marketing, because it's sort of like a volunteer army, nobody gets qualified to become a network marketer, nobody has to go to university to become a network marketer, most people just come and join and people come from all sorts of different backgrounds, professionals, not so professionals and different kinds of people. There is no one unified standard course for network marketing.

What I've noticed that so many people come into network marketing with the vision and their goal of making big money, they see that story of success, they see people having huge results. They see people achieving massive earnings and things and they go, “I want that too. So, I'm going to go and join network marketing.”

But once they join the business, they don't become professional. They don't prepare for it. They don't study the business. They don't study the industry. They just try to wing it. They just try to wing it. They just go, “I’ll just cross my fingers and hope it's going to work out for me, hope nobody notices that I have no idea what I'm talking about, hope that I get lucky and recruit that one person who will build a huge team and make me lots of money.” That's a lot of people’s strategy in business. And that's a lot of people's idea of becoming successful.

Guess what chance that person has to succeed when they have that type of mentality? Unfortunately, not a very big chance and I've seen it too many times when somebody turns up to a presentation, but they haven't prepared to deliver a presentation, when somebody turns up to do a training, and they haven't prepared to do the training. When somebody turns up to do a Facebook Live, and they haven't thought in advance, what are they going to talk about, on that Facebook Live?

And not only that, it makes you look unprofessional if you try to do something when you're not prepared, but more than anything, it's shows that you don't respect the person who you're delivering this presentation to, who you delivering this training to, because that means your attention is so unimportant to me that I haven't even bothered to spend some time to prepare for this, to spend some time and make this look nice.

Preparation is such a huge thing, and I remember seeing this quote, that said, “It's better to be prepared for an opportunity and not to have one, then to have an opportunity and be unprepared for it.” And it happens too often in the home based business arena, where people just try to get lucky, people just try to wing it, people just try to pretend like they know what they're doing. If you're serious about making huge money in this industry, if you’re serious about hitting the top ranks in your company, if you're serious about becoming the Pro, guess what?

Like the doctor, like the lawyer, like the electrician, like the plumber, like the medical nurse or whatever other profession, you should also study your profession. You should deliberately invest time to read books, watch videos, attend seminars and raise your professionalism every single year, every single month to progress further, to get better, to get more knowledgeable so that you know what you're doing and you're ensuring that you'll get a better result in the business.

That’s my training and tip for you. Hope you got value some value in this blog post, if you did, feel free to share it with other people. If you would like more amazing trainings check out “Network Marketing Success Training” group
