The FORTUNE is in the Follow-Up

In network marketing the follow up is one of the most important parts of the business. Many people think "if I just sent out information to enough people they will all be calling me to join my team". However, that is NOT what actually happens. The reality is that even if your prospect watches your business opportunity video and it is the most life changing opportunity that ever existed, they will not call you. They expect you to do that.
So if you truly care about impacting families you need to discipline yourself to follow up and do what you have promised to do. Also, this will make your life easier because it is easier to recruit somebody who you have already exposed to the business than to recruit somebody brand new. This doesn't mean that you should stop reaching out to new people but make sure that time to time you also follow up with those who you have reached out 6 months ago, a year ago, two years ago and so on. You will be surprised how many of them will say "Oh I am so happy that you reached out to me, I was just thinking to start something new" etc. because peoples lives change and somebody who was not interested a year ago might be in a completely different situation today.
Furthermore, using stories is a great way to follow up with specific individuals. As you know one of the great ways to follow up with people who have previously were not interested in the business or have not replied is by using "UPDATE+DEFLECTION" method where you say something like "Hey John, I know my business is not a fit for you but just qualified for brand new car from the company and was curious maybe you know someone who would like a new car and some extra income on the side, let me know".
However, you can also use this method with stories about specific individuals. So become a collector of stories in your company. Important things to note about other peoples stories is:
-Location
-Age
-Profession
-Family status
-Special circumstances
So for example if somebody who is a nurse succeeds in a big time within your company (doesn't have to be from your team) you can reach out to all the nurses you know and say "Hey Sally, I know you said previously that my business is not for you, but my friend Lucy who is a nurse just got a bran new Mercedes from the company, maybe you know of any nurses who would like to earn extra income and qualify for a free car payment too?"
This way the person you are following up on can relate to the story better because they have something in common with the person who you are describing. Same way you could use the location where the successful person lives, or their age, or the fact that they have 4,5,6 kids like the person you are following up with or have a special circumstance like for example at our recent convention we have a couple who were both blind doing who became very successful in the business!
