1. DOUBT is the first killer of success in network marketing. So many people quit their network marketing business because they start to doubt themselves, their business opportunity or their product quality. Very often this can happen because of other people criticising you or if you don't get quick success. It is very important to understand that many people have become very successful in network marketing who have been in a much worse situation than you and who have far less talent than you.
2. DISAPPOINTMENTS is the second thing that can stop you. It is not IF you will get disappointed but WHEN you will get disappointed. So you have to be prepared for it in advance. There will be many days in business when things don't go the way you have planned them. You will organise a meeting and no one will turn up. You will drive two hours to meet a business prospect and he will not join you. Prices will go up. Product will be out of stock. Leaders will leave your team and go to other companies and so on. No matter what happens you cannot allow these disappointment to get you out of the game. You need to keep going no matter what happens.
3. DISTRACTIONS is the third roadblock that can derail your business. Once you start doing network marketing you will get bombarded by new business opportunities almost daily and each of them will look better than the last one. It is so easy to get distracted and go on this wild goose hunt. I can tell you this, I have never seen a person successfully building 2 businesses at the same time. You have to FOCUS on you business for at lease one year. Put the blinders on and stick to it until you have achieved the results. Also, family emergencies, weddings, divorces, births, deaths, illnesses and many other things will attempt to distract you from your business, again, you have to stay on track as network marketing is a business of momentum, if you drop the ball for a few months you business will loose momentum and you will have to start all over again.
4. DREAM STEALERS is the last thing that can ruin your progress in business. Dream stealers are the people who will try to talk you out of chasing your dreams. First group of dream stealers are people who truly care about you and don't want you to fail or loose money. They will say that you should just stick to your real job, that business is risky, that many people end up disappointed. They do not understand network marketing or business and try to protect your feeling and that is why they will try to discourage you from doing the business. The second group of dream stealers are people who know that they should also be doing something to start working on their financial freedom but because they are too lazy to do that, to make themselves feel better, they will try to ridicule your business and your ambitions. Again, you have to ignore all of these people, thank them for their opinion and keep going forward towards your dreams. Don't ever let their criticism to stop you in your tracks.
