Suspend your DISBELIEF
I want to do a quick blog for you about suspend your disbelief. So the title
of this blog is suspend your disbelief. Now, what does it mean?
What it means,
that most people talk themselves out of succeeding in business. Most people
stop themselves, there's nobody stopping them. There's nobody preventing them
from reaching success. But what happens most of the time, is that the people
are stopping themselves because they go, “Oh, I just can't believe I can
achieve it. No, no, no, no, no, I couldn't do that. Oh, no, I'm not smart
enough. Oh no, I'm not good enough.” So they are actually stopping
themselves from success instead of somebody else stopping them.
My advice for you is just for a moment, just pretend that there was no
limitations. Just imagine that you couldn't fail. Imagine if you had a magic
wand, and you could wave it and have whatever you want, achieve whatever it is
that you desire, right? What if that could happen? Like, what would you go for?
What would you want to have in life? What would you want to achieve if you
could do anything, if you could achieve and if there was no limitations.
Too
many of you could do amazing things and great things in your business, but you
keep going, “Oh, but I don't know that thing. I can't do this thing, oh, but
this thing.” So you keep looking for limitations like there's a prize for that.
You keep looking for what's wrong with you like there's a reward for that?
Well, there isn't, the reward for looking for what’s wrong with you is failure.
That's the reward. So stop doing that.
There’s
enough haters out there, there's enough people who are jealous of your success
out there who will do that work for you. You be the best cheerleader for
yourself. You'll be the best fan of yourself. You'll be the person who just
believes in everything. Like suspend your disbelief. Be like a small child who
doesn't believe things can’t happen. Like, the child wants to be an astronaut,
a child wants to go and become whatever, and he doesn't stop himself. He
doesn't doubt himself, he doesn't look for reasons why he could fail. Instead,
he looks for reasons to succeed. So that's what I want you to be too. Suspend
your disbelief for a minute, and just say, “Hey, I know it's a long shot. I
know it's probably not going to, but let's just try it. Let's just give it a go.
Let you see what will happen.” And you'll see great things start happening in
your life, because most of the time, we are the ones stopping ourselves and
increase your vision.
Whatever
you believe is going to happen, make it 10 times. Like, if you think you know
only five people are going to turn up to your event, say, “Hey, how can I get
50?” If you think that you can only earn 1000 pounds this month in your
business, say, “What if I could do 5000? How could I do that?” And just look
for reasons to succeed. Look for reasons to make it, instead of reasons why
not. And that applies everywhere, guys, it applies everywhere, like small
things, like even within your business, looking for reasons to fail, or for
reasons to succeed. Like some people will go, “Well, that product is out of
stock, but there’re 1000 products in stock.”
But they will look for reasons why
not to succeed. When you go to a shoe shop to buy shoes, do you try the ones
that they have in stock or do you look for stuff they don't have in stock?
Well, that wouldn't make any sense, would it? You try the stuff that they have.
Same in your business. Don't focus on stuff that you don't have, and instead
focus on the things you do have. That's what you need to do. That's how you
succeed in business. Not by looking for failures, not by looking for problems,
for looking for solutions. Make sense?
