Today, interesting topic, sheep, goats and wolves. What on earth am I talking about? Trust me, this is going to make sense in just a second. So in network marketing, there's going to be three types of people who are going to join your team. The first group of people that you will be in your network marketing business are sheep and you might think sheep are bad people, actually this is the best group of people, why, because sheep follow instructions, they listen to what you tell them. They follow instructions and they do as they are taught. This is the one of the best qualities to have in business, you see very often we talk about being coachable and everybody goes, “Yeah, I'm coachable.” But there's actually not that many people who are coachable.
The second group of people are goats. Now goats, almost every single goat thinks that they are sheep, they think “Yeah, I'm coachable; yeah I listened to what I'm told.” But the reality is that they don't, whatever you try to teach them, they'll go, “Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but.” So they will have an objection for almost any training, for almost any lesson, for almost any process, they'll find something to talk badly or to say, “No, but I don't think it's that way.” A lot of people in business are like that and that's the reason why they don't get the results, that's the reason why they don't get the success because they're not very good at following instructions, they're not very good at following what they've been told by their leader, by their sponsor. If a person that trains you is making more money than you, maybe, just maybe, it makes sense to listen to what they’re telling you, if they have built a bigger team than you, then maybe it's worthwhile to listen to what they saying to you, it doesn't matter even if you had more experience in different jobs or different things, etc., but if you came into network marketing industry, if you came into this business, you have to be open to learn new things. You have to be open because otherwise, you're a goat, you just keep going, “Yeah but, yeah but.” It doesn't matter what you've been trained, doesn't matter what you've been taught, you still go back to your old ways. If you have a goat in your business, the only thing you can do is use them as a window to other people. So even though a goat will not follow instructions and they will not become successful in business, they can lead you to other people who are sheep. When you have a goat, they wouldn't listen to you anyway, they will not follow instructions but they might lead you to other people who are sheep, who are the good people who listen. So that's group number two.
And then, there is number three and third group of people in business in network marketing will be wolves and wolves, they come to destroy, they're the people who are going to cause trouble in your business, they are people who cause arguments in your business, they're the people who are going to come and try to steal people into other businesses and things like that. These are just negative people who are bad for your business. You want to get rid of them as soon as you can from your business. As soon as you notice that you have a wolf, you have to get rid of them from your team, you have to get rid of them from your Facebook group, you have to get rid of them from your business because otherwise, they just go to cause a lot of damage. That’s what that means. So like I said, at the very beginning, many of you will think that, oh, sheep is not good, but actually sheep is the best and first of all, you have to be a sheep. If you want to succeed in business, you have to be coachable, you have to be able to follow instructions, you have to be able to listen to your sponsor, you have to be able to do as you've been told, and it's not a sign of weakness if you listen to somebody who tells you what to do, it's actually a strength because very few people are okay to put the ego aside and to say, “You know what, you've been in this business longer than me, you built a bigger team than me, you’re making more money than me, so I will listen to what you tell me to do because you know more, clearly because you're getting better results.” It takes a very big person to do that.
Most people they'll listen to what you tell them and they go, “Yeah but.” And they'll go and do their own way. There's a word for that. It's an ask-hole. An ask-hole is a person who asks questions, they ask for help all the time, but they never do what they've been told. So they ask for help, they get an answer and they go back to doing nothing, they go back to doing their own way and they never get result and they wonder, “Why am I not getting results?” Because they’re goat, they are not the sheep.
