Seek Conversation not Conversion

I want to show you how to get more sales and more recruits into your business. So the title of this blog is seek conversation, not conversion.

You see the mistake that a lot of network marketers make in their marketing is that they are seeking conversion, not conversation. And what do I mean by conversion? Conversion is a sale, conversion is a recruit and that's what they seek on social media.

When they post something, they're going for the kill, like Gary Vaynerchuk wrote a book called Jab, Jab, Jab, right hook, meaning you give a bit of information, give a bit of information, give them a bit of information, and then you do a sales post. A lot of you are just right hooking all day long, you're not jabbing at all.

The idea is that if you want to get more recruits, if you want to get more sales, you want to start seeking conversation, not conversion. So instead of putting a post on your social media that goes straight down to the business, “Hey, buy one, get one, today only, if you buy one, you get one.” Just straight away trying to sell something, why not do a post that will create conversations, that will create comments, that will create private messages, and then you can sell in the private conversation, right?

Instead of saying, “Hey, buy this wine, buy this bottle of wine. Buy now, buy two get two.” Instead of doing that, why not go, “Hey, who out here would love to have a cosier Christmas? Or who out here are looking for a beautiful gift idea for Christmas?” And people who comment, and then you contact them and start a conversation about possibly them becoming your client.

The idea is, it's not about always going for the kill. Most of the time, you should try to start conversations, “Hey, who out here would love to earn an extra income?” Even that is direct, but it's not like, “Hey, join my team.” So you're looking for people who are open, you're looking for people who might be in the market for what you got to offer. So different ways. It's all about starting the conversations, it's all about seeking conversations not straight sales because very few people go on Facebook and go, “Oh, a problem. Let me go back.” Most people want to have a question, they will want some information.

Why not start leading without information? Why not start leading with that curiosity that will make somebody thinks, oh, what's that about? Let me find out more. So that's my tip for today. Go for conversation, not conversion and you'll have more sales and more recruits, because you'll have more conversations with people because if you're going straight for the sale, if you're going straight for the recruit, a lot of those people are not even reaching out.

You don't even know that they were interested because your post left nothing for curiosity, your post left nothing unveiled, so they don't have to contact you because everything is clear already. But if you create a post that creates a bit of curiosity, and they have to message you to find out about it, then you at least know who's interested.

That’s my training and tip for you. Hope you got value some value in this blog post, if you did, feel free to share it with other people.
