Most people are not READY to buy

I want to talk about people being ready to buy. The title of this blog is that most people are not ready to buy.

I think too many people misunderstand how social media is supposed to work. And they think that they can come to social media and they can straightaway sell. So they think I can put a picture, I can put a video, I can put a post and people will go and buy my product right away or buy my business opportunity right away or buy my service right away. Now will some people buy? Definitely, some people will definitely buy right away.

However, there’s one thing that I learned from my mentor Ray Higdon, which is called buy cycle, customer buy cycle, which basically means that people have this buying cycle and 5% of people will be ready to buy. So if you come, if you have 1000 friends on Facebook, you come and you post something, some people will be ready to buy something, but only 5% of your friends or customers or fans will be ready to buy and that’s up to, like usually it's much lower than that. And there's another 5% who would never buy from you no matter what. So that's five and five. What's with the rest of 90%?

Well, the rest 90% they need more information. And you see when you come on to Facebook and you go, “Hey, buy this, buy one, get one, buy this product from me. Buy this business from me.” People go I haven't got enough information to make a decision to buy and that's why they scroll away or they go away and they never buy from you. You see the purpose of your social media, the purpose of your posts should be to start our conversation, not to make a sale.

When you’re posting on social media, when you are doing videos, when you're doing photos, when you're doing posts, the purpose of that, the key to that should be to start a conversation with a person instead of making a sale there and then, because most of the time if you'll try to make a sale, some will buy, but most people will need more information and they won't buy. But if you make a post that starts a conversation that people start commenting or you can start messaging them personally that they respond to them, this way you can start a conversation and in the conversation, you can give more information to that 90% and then offer them to buy the product. This way, you might have much better results.
