want to give you a Monday tip. Every Monday when you can, I would recommend you
do this thing, and preferably actually in the morning on Monday.
That's to set your activity goals for the week, not results goals, activity goals for the week, because at the end of the day, you don't control the result, you don't control who's going to buy from you, because it's that person who makes the decision to buy. You don't control who's going to join your business, because that person makes the decision to join your business or not. But you control activity, you control how many messages you'll send this week, you control how many Facebook Lives you will do, you control how many people you'll call, how many people you can chat up, face to face, and so on. And so you control your activity.
Therefore, what I would recommend you to do is set the activity goals for the week on Monday. Every Monday, set your goal, how many messages are you going to send this week, how many follow ups you're going to do this week, how many videos you're going to produce this week, how many posts you're going to put on this week, how many stories you're going to do this week, and so on and so on. Set your activity goals for the week. And if you miss them, if you don't hit them, adjust next week, if you do them easily, then increase the number next week. And every week, set yourself activity goals for the week, because remember, if you can't hit the target that you don't see.
If you don't set a goal, then for sure you're not going to hit it. But if you set the goal, then there's a chance you're actually going to hit it. And have a think, what can you do? Can you break your record this week? Can you break your record of sent messages this week? Can you break your record of how many videos you've done in a week? Can you break your record on how many follow ups you're done this week? That would be interesting.
If you want to get better results, if you want to make more money by the end of this week, if you want to have more team members by the end of the week, why not aim to beat your own record? Not somebody else's. Don’t compete with others. Don’t compare with others. Compete with you. Can I hit more than I did last week? And when you track your numbers, that's when you can improve. They say what you measure, you can improve. If you measure your weight every day, then you can start improving, but if you leave it, if you ignore it, if you don't measure it, that's when it starts increasing.
Same with your business, if you measure your numbers, then you can improve them. If you don't measure, if I asked you, “Hey, how many messages did you send last week? How many people did you talk about? How many presentations have you shown?” And if your answer is, “I don't know.” Then how serious are you about your business? How serious are you about progressing in your business?
Probably, not so serious because if I went to your local grocery store and asked them how many cans of big beans you sold last week, they could tell the exact number because they track the numbers, because they're doing a business not a hobby. They're not doing it when they feel like it. They're doing it every day because they're serious about the business. Are you serious about your business? Answer that to you yourself.
