Living your life with a purpose

I want to talk about living your life with a purpose and why that actually can help you a lot in business as well.

Today has been a very special day in our life because today, my wife's Rita's brother Marius has been
ordained into the priesthood. So he's been studying for seven years to become a priest and today, we attended a celebration where he became a priest. They have ordained him into the priesthood, and from now on, he's a full on priest, he is going to get allocated his parish, and is going to be starting working there. And it's been an emotional day, I'll tell you, I got very emotional at the ceremony at the church, even now as I'm talking, I'm getting quite emotional about it because it's a big decision.

It’s like marriage, when you get married, you make a decision for the rest of your life. This is also similar way because he made a decision to marry the church, to be working as a servant of people for the rest of his life. And it was very interesting to hear the bishop and the cardinal speak at this mass and welcome these new, there was two priests being
ordained today, and he said, how to be a happy priest. And the way to be a happy priest is to follow your passion, to follow your calling in terms of serving people, if you actually enjoy helping people, if you enjoy serving people, if your mission in life is to make people's lives better, then as a priest, you'll be a very happy priest, and you will serve your community very well and you will be happy as a person.

My brother in law, he got
ordained as a priest today, and he heard that message and I really hope for him that he will have a fantastic life working as a Catholic priest, and I'm sure you will impact on many, many lives. But as I was sitting in this Holy Mass, watching these two young men being ordained into priests, them prostrating in front of the altar, and then the whole ceremony, then being anointed with a Chrism and the bishop there and everything, I was like, “Wow, how powerful this is.” And I was thinking, does this actually apply to our business?

I know that this is my wife's brother becoming a priest after seven years of studying, but for me in every situation in life, I look for how does it apply for me in life too? I'm thinking, how does this applies to my life? How does this apply to business?

And I thought, well, actually what the bishop said applies to our business too because you see, if you are in network marketing to make money, if you’re in network marketing, if you’re in home based business just for the money is going to suck. I'm telling you now. It's going to be hard work. It’s going to suck, you're going to feel deflated most of the time, you're going to get fed up with talking to people and all of that because money is not a mission.

Money is a side effect of your mission. If you do your job well, if you follow your passion, your dreams and your mission well, money will come anyway. It's going to be like a side effect, but the purpose, what's the purpose of you doing the business that you do? What's the purpose for you to get involved in network marketing, and if your purpose is money, then it's a bad purpose. I'm telling you now. You should see beyond that.

My purpose in a home based business is to help other people, is to have growth, which means I'm growing myself constantly by investing in myself, by reading, by personal development and contribution. And contribution is basically impacting other people's life? How can I help more people to get out of poverty? How can I help more single moms to make more money? How can I help more people to live in the house of their dreams, to drive the car of their dreams, to travel to the holiday of the dreams? My purpose is not just to make money, it's to impact people's lives.

The biggest moments in my life, the sweetest times in my career in business is when I hear somebody's testimonial and my name in it. When somebody says, “Because of this guy, my life has changed. Because you taught me this strategy, my business has changed, because you said this thing. I used it, my earnings have changed.” That is the biggest thing for me. That satisfies me so much.

When you think like I'm doing these videos every single day, do you think I'm doing them for you? No, I'm selfish. I'm doing them for me, because when I do these videos and you learn something, and you apply it in your business and you get better results, or it changes your mindset, and you get better results, and I hear these stories, that's the thing that makes me go, “Yes. This is why I'm here. This is why I'm doing this.” That's my purpose. Find your purpose, your purpose might not be my purpose.

Your mission might not be my mission, but you have to have one because if you haven't got a bigger purpose, if you haven't got a bigger mission and the only reason why you're doing this is to make some money, you're not going to have so much pleasure out of it. You're not going to get so much happiness out of it. Find your mission. Why are you on this earth? Why are you doing this? What are you made to do? What are you meant to do in your lifetime? Find that thing, because that is going to drive you.
