Let’s talk about OVERWHELM

Let's talk about overwhelm.

So we picked up the keys for the new house and obviously, we saw the house when we viewed it, but you know, you're viewing 20 houses in a day, it all sort of starts blurring into one and we decided on the one that we wanted to buy, we bought the house, but it's sort of like in your head, you start forgetting how everything looks.

We go back today with the keys in the hand, go inside the house, and we start really looking, now it's ours, we start looking in detail for the whole house. And bit by bit, this feeling of overwhelm starts appearing, you know, because you realize the ceiling needs doing and the walls needs doing and the carpets needs doing and the stairway needs doing and the bathroom needs doing and the garden needs doing. And it's like a lot of work, right? And it's easy to start feeling overwhelmed, like, “Oh my Gosh, this is just so much to do.” And in a way that also relates to how you feel in the business, isn't it?

Because when somebody gets started in home based business, when somebody gets started in network marketing, they can also feel like that, “Oh my God. So I need to learn how to sell. And I need to learn how to recruit. And I need to learn how to be a good leader. And I need to learn how to deal with conflicts in the team. And I need to learn this and that.” And it also can become a bit overwhelming for a new person, right? Well, they just go, “Oh my Gosh, there's just too much. I don't even know if I could be right.” But it doesn't have to be done all in one goal, you know what I mean? So I can do the ceiling, do the carpet and then I can do the bathroom, you know what I mean? I can do it piece by piece.

And same applies to your business. When you first get started in a new business, yay, it feels overwhelming. It feels like oh my Gosh, there's so much to do. But actually, it's one step at a time. So you learn one thing, you move on to the next, you learn the next thing, you move on to the next. So if you’re just started, you don't need to know how to manage 20,000 people in your team, because you're not there yet. All you need to learn right now is how to manage yourself self. Once you've learned that and you got a couple of team members, then you learn how to deal with that.

Then once you've got a couple of customers, you learn how to deal with that. And you're learning as you're going along. So you don't need to be an expert. You don't need to be a PhD in network marketing in order for you to start but as you’re growing and as your business is growing and as your income is growing, so will you expertise and knowledge etcetera. So take it one step at a time. You know, they say how do you eat an elephant? And the answer is one bite at a time. You don't try to swallow the whole thing. So same in your business or any other project in your life, just take it step by step and you will get there.
