Jar of pickles analogy
I wanted to give you an analogy, a jar of pickles analogies. This is a quick
one, but I think it's a positive one.
Very often when I'm talking to people in
business, I hear them say, “Oh, my wife is not supporting me. My husband is not
supporting me. My family is not supporting me. My friends are not supporting me,
my work colleagues are not supporting me.” I get it. People are not supporting
you, but if you want to change something, if you want to achieve something, you
need the support, you need the people around you who will help you get there, who
will help you to get the results you want, who will help you keep you
motivated, who will help you keep you inspired and so on.
Imagine if you have a
jar of pickles. Imagine if you have a jar of pickled cucumbers. What if I took
a full jar of pickles, open the jar, take one cucumber out and put a fresh
cucumber in a jar and close it and leave it there for a few days. What will
happen? The cucumber, the fresh cucumber will get pickled, because of all the
other pickled cucumbers in the jar.
Same
way, some of you need to be pickled. You need to get on fire. You need to get
inspired. You need to get motivated. You need to get rocking and rolling in
your business and the only way to do that is to take yourself out of the
environment where you’re being criticized and laughed at and ridiculed and put
yourself in the environment where you will get supported, where you will get
praised, where you will get encouraged, where you will get applaud and helped to
get to your goals and that is your network marketing business, that is the
events, the training events, the zooms, the live events especially, if you go
to a conference, if you go to a big training event, that's like a massive jar of
pickles, because you go in that event as a fresh cucumber, you come out of
there as a pickled one, you come out of there on fire made big decisions, got
skills and ideas what to do, and you’re just like running with your hair on
fire. Why? Because you got surrounded by the right people.
I
remember the first time I went to Tony Robbins, unleash the power within, and I
walked on fire by the end of that training. By the end of the four day
training, literally, you walk. I'm a fire walker. Imagine how crazy that event
has to be to put a normal person in a room with a couple of thousand people and
then four days later, that normal person walks on fire like a crazy person.
That's your jar of pickles. If you've never done that to yourself, you owe it
to yourself.
The next time you hear there's a big training the company
organizes or there's a big generic training that your team goes to and yet may
require you to pay for the hotel and yes, it may require you to travel there
and yes, it may require to pay for the event ticket. Trust me. You will get the
Return on Investment tenfold because just getting yourself out of the
environment you are always in and going somewhere to a destination event will
completely change how you learn, will completely change how you absorb the
information and you will leave that event a different person. I promise you
that. This is my wish for you, is the next time there's a big training event, go
for it, go for it, you are worth it. Trust me, you're worth the investment.
