It’s not about the followers it’s about the connection

I want to talk to you about connection versus amount of followers.

A lot of people nowadays that chasing the number of followers how can I get more followers? How can I get more likes on my Facebook page? How can I get bigger numbers? But bigger numbers is not always better results. It's more about the connection that you have with your audience with the value of the information that you provide, and how engaged your audience is. Just recently, I was watching this training, and I heard the story, a real story documented about a lady on Instagram who had 2.6 million followers on Instagram, she started like a clothing line, and she sold 36 T-shirts. 2.6 million Followers and she saw 36 T-shirts.

Why? Because there was no connection with that audience, there was simply no relationship between that influencer and the audience. Sometimes you can have less followers, less likes on your page, less members in your group, but the life is bubbling there. People are engaged, people are curious, people are interested, you’re providing valuable information, you’re providing good content, and those people are engaged with you and even if there's not that many, you get more sales, you get more recruits, you get more results from that work.

Whereas other person might have thousands of followers or page like so group members, but they're getting no results because there's no connection, they're providing no value, they providing no useful information, they have no relationship with their audience. Don’t just take it for granted. Reply to comments, like people's comments, engage with people, talk with people in private messages.

Every time I get a friend request, I straightaway start talking with that person. I don't want to just be on the number in my friends list. I want to have a chat with that person, find out what do they do? How can I help them? Can I help them at all? Build a relationship with your audience and you'll see much better results on your social media.
