Success Is A Way Of Life - Not A Destination

Today I wanted to talk to you about how to get paid more. So doesn't matter whether you're in a job or you in your own business, or whatever it is that you do, how do you get paid more?



Okay, so how do you get paid more? So think about it. Is it possible that two people would work for the same company, and one person would get paid five pounds an hour, and another person would get paid 50 pounds an hour? Now the answer, of course, is yes, it happens every single day all the time, same company, two people working for the same company, somebody gets paid 15 pounds an hour, somebody else gets paid 150 pounds an hour.

So how is it possible that two people are putting in the same amount of time, but one is getting paid 10 times more than the other? And the answer is value, is because the person who gets paid more probably is more valuable to the company. That's why the company is prepared to pay more to that person, because they provide more value. So if you want to earn more money, you're not going to achieve that by striking, you're not going to achieve that by moaning or complaining, you're not going to achieve that by any other means except by increasing your value.

So if you're in a job place, if you have a job, figure out how can I bring more value to my company? How can I bring more value to my job, maybe by you learning some extra things, maybe by you going to some courses training events, etcetera, run by your company, that you can learn more. So this way you can provide more value to that company. Maybe you can do a college degree, maybe you can do a university degree, maybe you can up your qualification or whatever it is that you need to do, but you need to ask yourself a question, how can I provide more value to my job place, so that they can pay me more? You become more valuable.

If somebody has no experience, no training, no education, then they're not very valuable for the company and the company can get rid of them at any time. But if somebody has got a lot of experience, they've got a lot of knowledge, they've got a lot of education behind them, and then they are a lot more valuable to their company. So does this apply to business too? Absolutely.  If you’re in a home based business, if you're in network marketing, again, you will earn according to your value. So what value can you provide?

Well, number one is what is your value to the company? The company is going to pay you either when you sell the product, or when you bring other people into the business. So if you hone in on those skills, if you invest time and possibly money, to learn more about the skills of selling products and the skills of recruiting people, then you can bring more customers and bring more business partners, which means you become more valuable to the company. So the company starts paying you more commissions.

What if you become a better leader? What if you start investing in yourself and learning how to become a better leader and you grow larger organizations, you help your team members to progress faster? Will that bring value to the company? Absolutely. So they now can pay you more and same way even on a personal level, when you’re recruiting people into your team.

Again, what value are you going to provide to these people? So somebody might join network marketing, but they're not reading any books about network marketing, they not go into any training, they're not watching any videos, they're not listening to any audios and they're going to people saying, “Hey, join my business, hey, join my team.” And if I'm the candidate, if they're approaching me, I'm asking myself, “Well, what value will you provide to me? Why would I join your team? What will I get out of you for joining your team? What will you teach me? What value will you provide?” 

So if somebody on the other spectrum, if somebody actually reads books about network marketing goes to training, invest thousands and thousands of pounds in themselves to learn and become a master of network marketing, then they can provide a lot more value to their prospect. So if they approach somebody and say, “Hey, join my business, because I'm going to train you on this, I'm going to train you on that I've got this video, I've got this done." Now, they can provide more value to that person. So they’re more likely to join their team, do you get what I'm saying?

So your earnings, the way you earn more money, the way you get paid more, is only by increasing your value whether you're in a job, whether you're in a business, wherever you are, the only way for you to make more money is to increase your own value, is to educate yourself, it's to invest in yourself, right. And if you do that, you'll start adding a lot more, your job place will start valuing you a lot more, and they’ll start using you a lot more because you will become more valuable for that company.
