How to get more people attending your weekly training event?
I want to talk about how to get more people attending your weekly training
events. So how do you get more people attending your weekly training events
because we all know it, at the beginning everybody's excited, everybody's
attending the weekly training event, but the more you do it, the less and less
and less and less people start attending because they're bored with it is the
same thing. It's every single week. Yeah, maybe I'll attend next week. I'm too
busy. And people lose excitement of attending and especially if it's always you
talking because people just get fed up listening to you. Let's face it, doesn't
matter how Great Leader you are, how charismatic you are, how amazing speaker
you are, over time, people just get bored to listen to you.
One
of the very effective things to do is actually to do spotlight interviews
during your weekly training. So instead of you trying to talk all the time,
instead of you being the speaker all the time, what you can do is, every single
week, try to find a team member who could come on and speak, you could
interview them during the weekly training. So this way it helps you to promote
and it makes it more interesting. So you can find team members, maybe this
person gets really good results on Instagram, maybe this person gets really
good results on LinkedIn.
Maybe this person gets a lot of sales, maybe this
person gets a lot of recruits or whatever. And this way you can promote it out
that, “Hey guys, this week at the training event, we're going to have Sally,
and Sally’s going to share how she sold 35 products in the last three days.” And
then Wednesday comes, whatever day you do the training, you get on it, and you
basically interviewing that person. So it’s a different speaker every week
then. And plus, it's easier to promote because now they know there's going to
be valuable, they're going to learn something new at that training event.
So
that's why I recommend you try and do become a collector of stories. So listen
out what's happening in your team who's getting good results, who's using some
new strategies, and then bring these people on as speakers at your weekly
training event. One less work for you because somebody else is doing the
talking, two you’re promoting those people to become leaders because once they
get used to speaking, they might do that a lot. And this way, it's more
interesting for your team and more people attend your training events.
