How to get better at MARKETING?

I want to give you a quick tip about how to get better at marketing. How do you get better at marketing?



Well, you need to understand a little bit of human psychology and what people like to do, they like to talk about their problems. Have you noticed that? Have you noticed that from your work colleagues? Have you noticed that from your family members? Have you noticed that from your friends? That people just love talking about their problems. If you understand that, and let's say you have a product or a service that solves a problem, the mistake would be to talk a lot about your product or about your service. But that's what we naturally want to do. Now we've got a great product, we want to just talk about that product. But remember, people love to talk about the problems, not about the solutions. Not so much about the solutions. What should you do?

Well, I love how my mentor, Ray Higdon used this phrase, he said; talk more about their crap grass, then about your weed killer. So your product is the weed killer. It solves the problem and you want to just talk about your product, but that's not what they're most interested in. What they're most interested in, is to hear about their problem. Before you start offering your product before you start talking about your product, first of all, think about what problem does this product solve? And then talk about that problem. If you have a food supplement that maybe helps to deal with cellulite, instead of straight away, “Hey, guys have a look, I have this product that helps to solve cellulite.” You first should start about talking about cellulite. How many people suffer from it? What's the problem with it, and so on, and once you’ve spoke about it, then you can say and by the way, I have a solution for this thing.

If you're interested, drop me a comment or drop me a message or whatever. What this will do, it will attract people who deal with that problem and they will be more likely to listen to you because they'll say, “Oh, that's exactly my problem. She's exactly talking about my situation.” Think about it. Think about all of your products and what problems do they solve and talk about those problems. You'll see how very quickly you will attract your potential customers.
