How to answer "How much do you EARN?"

I wanted to show you how to answer the question, “How much do you earn?”

Okay, so how do you answer a question, “How much do you earn?” Especially if you're brand new person in the business but also actually if you've been in for a while, so for a lot of network marketers, that's a troublesome question. They get a bit, “Oh, they asked me how much I earn,” and you know if you don't earn a lot of money, you feel embarrassed, you feel a bit like, “Oh what do I say? Do I lie to them? Or do I say the truth? But is it not going to lose me that person etcetera.” A lot of different thoughts goes through your mind. So I'm going to share with you how I would answer that question and hopefully you'll find that useful. And you can also use it.

So if somebody asks me, “How much do you earn in this business?” I'll ask them a question. I'll say, “Well, Angela, can you keep a secret?” And guess what she’d go, “Yeah, yeah, yeah I can keep a secret.” I go, “Well, so can I.” Well, that's one way of answering. But actually, my very favorite way of answering, “How much do you earn?” is to turn that question on its head. So whenever somebody asks me that question, I'll go, “Oh, interesting that you asked me that. Could I ask you why you asked me that?” And very often, they'll say, “Well, the amount you earn, that means I can earn that much.”

So they will say something like, well, because you earn this much, I can expect to earn that much etcetera, something that most people will say that and I will say, well, actually, that is not a correct way of thinking in network marketing. Because in network marketing, you earn based on your effort. So you could earn a lot less than what I earn. Or you could earn a lot more that I earn, it doesn't matter that I invited you; you could earn a lot more money than I do. So the amount of money that I make is completely irrelevant.

Now, if you’re interested in what's possible in our company, I can share with you a couple of success stories, I can tell you about few leaders who have reached, some of the top ranks, and I can tell you how much they earn, if you're interested in what's possible, but how much I earn is irrelevant. Exactly the same way, when you join, the amount of money that you earn will have nothing to do with how much money people who you invite will earn.

So you have to forget about that. Because just because I earn something doesn't mean you will earn something, I don't know, maybe you're a lazy person, maybe you're not going to put in any work and you want to earn anything, it doesn't matter that whatever I earn, because I'm not going to earn the money for you, you're going to earn the money for you. Or you might be a hardworking person than me; you might be a more connected person than me. You might start this business, crush it goes straight to the top, goes past me and become more bigger star than I am, and I wish that. I hope that you are and I hope you will be more successful than me. Because for me, trust me, it's not a problem. If you’re more successful than me, if you’re making more money than me, I'm going to be your biggest fan, I'm going to be the one cheering you. I'm going to be the one applauding you.

But the question how much you earn based on the idea that you're going to earn what I earn, is completely irrelevant and that's not true. So that's just to answer. So that's how I would answer that question guys. I hope this was useful for you.
