How to answer ‘What do you do for a living?’ if you’re a Network Marketer?

Hey Guys,

A lot of network marketers struggle when someone asks them about what do they do for a living. They want to answer in a way that people would understand and they actually end up confusing people. One of the best ways I found to answer this question is by using a 3 step formula:



1. Describe a pain or problem that people are experiencing
2. Describe how your business or product solve that problem
3. Describe life after the person used your business or product

Here is an example:

"You know how a lot of people are struggling to get the ends meet and are spending hours in traffic every day going to work and don't get to spend much time with their families? (don't wait for an answer) Well in our company we show people how to earn extra income and over 2-5 years to develop full time income working from home. This then allows people to repay their debts, gain financial freedom and allows people to work from home so they can spend more time with their families and don't have to sit in traffic every morning and evening"

In the above example I used few problems so it is quite lengthy but you could focus on only one problem for example. Also you can use the same example for product:

"You know how a lot of people are struggling to loose weight. Well our company has developed a programme where we combine great quality weight loss supplements with a clinical nutritionist approved meal plans to give people a better chance to lose weight. And what this does is allows people fairly quickly to lose weight so they can start wearing clothes they could not get in for years"
