Give your team member a BULLETPROOF VEST

I want to talk about putting a bulletproof vest on your team member. What do I mean when I talk about bulletproof vest?



So imagine somebody goes to a police academy, they graduate from the police academy; they start working as a policeman or a police woman and the first day they go out on the job, there's a shootout, there's a fire fight. They get into a shootout and they don't have a vest and they get shot. That's it. End of their career on day one, isn't it? Because they didn't have the vest right?

So same way in your business in network marketing business when you’re recruiting people into your team, they need to be protected as well. Well, they don't need a physical bulletproof vest, but they need to be protected. What are they supposed to be protecting against? Criticism, bad comments, rejection, all sorts of maybe resistance from people, maybe objections and things like that. So if you recruit somebody new in the business and you just paint this beautiful picture that; it’s going to be amazing. It's going to be easy. It's going to be so fun and easy and quick to get to the top and they go out there and they start speaking to their friends, family, work colleagues, strangers and they start getting criticism. They start getting rejection, they start getting objections, guess what's going to happen to that person. Like that policeman, they get shot without a vest. They will also get shut down and they will quit the business. They'll quit the business very quickly.

So you want to protect against that, and give them that bullet proof vests by explaining to them that look, a lot of people will say no to you, a lot of people will not buy or join your business, a lot of people might give you objections, a lot of people might say no to you, right? And that's okay. That's part of the business. So if you prepare the person for that, it's a bigger chance that they will stay in the business, even if they get that rejection, even if they get those objections, because they'll say, ah, they told me that this is going to happen. They told me that I should expect that.

The more you prepare, and we call it vaccination, sometimes you know, it's like vaccination when you get vaccination against the disease; when you get exposed to the disease, you don't get sick. So same thing here; if you give that vaccination to your team member and explain to them what to expect, there's a lot bigger chance that they will stay in the business.
