Getting a new person started
I want to talk very quickly about getting a new
person started.
When a new person gets started, sometimes we
think well, the best thing to do is to give them the choice so they can
actually choose whatever they want to do, they can buy whatever they want to
buy, etcetera, but actually, most people left to their own devices, they will
choose to do absolutely nothing because that's the easiest path and our brain as
human beings, it always chooses the path of least resistance.
So what's easiest?
Easiest is not to make a decision, easiest is not to take risk, easiest is not
to spend any money at all. So if you leave the individual to their own devices,
and you just recruit them into the business, most of the time, they won't buy
anything, they won't do anything, they want to buy anybody because you left
them to their own devices.
Instead, think about when you starting a new job,
when you come to just start a new job, do they just go, “Go and figure it out? See
what you can do?” Do they do that? No. When you start a new job, they give you
instructions. They take you through the ropes, and they explain to you how
everything works, what do you need to do, what are your duties, what is your
role?
Well, exactly the same way in a home based business. When you
get a brand new person started when you recruit somebody new, what you should
do is give them an instruction, tell them, “Well look, this is what most people
start with. These are the products that most people buy. And that's why I
recommend to you this is the starter kit I recommend you to get, how many
people I recommend you to recruit in your first week.
This is how many products
I recommend you to sell in your first week,” and so on and so on. So the person
now gets an instruction, and they know what to do. Because most people they
just don't know what to do. And they're too embarrassed to ask, they’re too
embarrassed to go, “Well, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to buy. I
don't know what to say."
So that's my tip for you for you. When you're
recruiting a new person, don't leave it up to chance; don't leave it up to
their choice because they will choose nothing because they don't know what to
choose. You are the leader you are the expert, and they're looking at you to
give them the qualified advice, to give them the right message and to give them
the right tips how to get started.
So you tell them you get these products, you
get this sample kit, you do this, this and this that's clear instructions now
they can go ahead and follow those instructions. Make sense? Because confused
mind always say no confused mind always does nothing. So if you leave a person
to their own advice; they go to the online shop and they see 1000 products,
they will get be confused and they will buy nothing.
