Generals don’t give up to soldiers
The
title of this blog is generals don't give up two soldiers.
So, in a war
situation, a general would never give up to a soldier, a general would rather
die than be captured by a soldier will then be whatever. But that's not really
what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about it also applies to network
marketing industry, to home based business. What I mean is in network marketing
very often, somebody new in business sees a huge leader in another company and they
will go and try and recruit them. Well, that's the same thing as a soldier
trying to capture a general.
A
general will not give up your soldier. So same way, if somebody is brand new in
business and they're trying to recruit a huge leader from another company, what
will happen most of the time is that the new person will get recruited by the
huge leader. So be careful what you teach your team members to do because I
have seen leaders who are big leaders themselves in the business, teach their
team members to go and recruit people from other companies. But the challenge
is, if your team member is a brand new person, and they go and try and recruit
a leader from another company who makes more money than them, who has more
experience than them, who has achieved more success than them, more often than
not, that leader will recruit your team member. So, not the greatest idea to
recommend your team members to do that.
But
it also applies to when you’re trying to recruit people who have been very
successful in other areas of life. So let's say you're a brand new person in
network marketing, and you haven't made any money yet in the business, you
haven't got any experience yet in a business, and you go and try and recruit
somebody who's a huge business person within your area. Well, again, generals
don't give up to soldiers. So you go to this person who's already making a lot
of money, who’s already very successful and if they ask you of your success,
you haven't got much to show.
So a wiser way of doing it would be to use your
upline leadership to help you to do the recruiting. So, if I find somebody who
is 10 times more successful than me, I might not go in on my own. I might use
some of my leadership, I might use some of my top earning leaders to put them
on a call as well, just to give some weight to my proposal. So if I'm trying to
recruit somebody who's making hundred thousand pounds a year, and I don't make
hundred thousand a year, I might get a leader who's making hundred thousand
every two months in our business, I might get a leader like that on a call to
sort of equalize the situation if you know what I mean, so that the person who
gets invited to a meeting like that, because if they are a serious business
person, if they've got a lot of success and achievement, they sort of want
their time to be valued. They sort of want their success to be recognized. So
you wouldn't put that type of person in front of somebody who's been in
business for two days.
So
you want to put another heavyweight from your side on the call or in the
meeting to equalize the power. Does that make sense? I hope this does make
sense. So that's my advice. If you're a big leader, help your little team members
recruit big people, because if you just say, “Hey, yeah, go recruit successful
people, go recruit big earners from other companies.”
Most likely, they will
get recruited because they haven't got the weight yet, they haven't got the
power, they haven't got the success yet to convince another person to join the
business but if you help them, it's awesome and if you are a new person in the
business and you haven't had much success yet, then use your leadership, use
your team leaders, use your upline leaders because there's loads of people in
your business who have achieved a lot of success, who you can use to add
credibility to your business.
