Success Is A Way Of Life - Not A Destination

I want to talk about exampleship is that even a word? I don't think it's a word, but somebody made it up, and I'll just roll with it; exampleship versus leadership.



Very often, leaders, they just want to be managers, they want to be telling people what to do and not all leaders are like that, and some leaders are really doing the work. But the problem is with both; the leaders who are just telling other people what to do, and leaders who are just doing what they need to do is that both of these groups are not showing to the team, what they’re actually doing.

As you know in network marketing, the best kind of leader is the leader who does not leadership but does exampleship. What does that mean? They do the work, and they show the team. Because some of you are doing a lot of work, but you are not showing your team what you're doing; and as they say, do as I say not as I do doesn't work in network marketing because it's a duplication business. We all copy from each other and we do what the leader does. If the leader doesn't do it, the team members don't do it and that's why the super successful leaders and network marketing people who've been around for 15 years, 20 years 25 years in the industry still recruit, still sell. Why the hell? They already made millions; they already are super successful; why would they keep doing it? Because they’re doing the exampleship; they’re showing the team how it's done.

How can you show to your team? Well, you can post in your Facebook group, you can post in your WhatsApp group, you can post in your chat, you can do all of that, to show your team members what you’re doing. So you recruit somebody new, take a selfie with them, or do a zoom call and take a picture or just put the picture of that person say, “Hey team, please welcome the new member, I'm super proud of you joining the team and I’m super excited working with you.” So your team sees that oh my Gosh, my leader is recruiting like crazy, my leader is selling like crazy and I need to copy them. That's when they copy. Don't worry too much about leadership. Obviously we do have to become better leaders and we have to develop our leadership skills and I love John Maxwell; if you haven't read his books, do that. However, first of all, become a master of exampleship then become a master of leadership.
