Dream vs Income cycle

Imagine these was a circle with all the things inside that you would like to have in your dream life. For example: dream house, dream car, luxury travel, private education for children, Rolex watch, Louis Vuitton hand bag, Louboutin shoes and so on. If you add up the cost of all the things in your dream cycle it might come to £500k, £750k or £1 million.
Then next it imagine another circle that represents your earnings from your job. I don't know what is the average. Lets say it might be £20k, £30k or £40k per year income. Now that circle then is considerably smaller than your dream cycle.
So there is a problem then, because your dream cycle does not mach your income cycle. Thus there are two solutions to this problem. One solution, that unfortunately most people will choose is to shrink their dreams to mach their low income. This of course is not much fun and you don't get to live your dream lifestyle. So instead of your dream home you settle for a rented flat, instead of your dream car you settle for 12 year old Toyota and so on.
The second solution, which I prefer, is to expand your income circle to match your dream life. So if your dream lifestyle is £100k, £200k or £300k per year, then what you need to do is find a way to increase your income until it matches the level of your dreams. Now what you have to evaluate is whether your present job can give you an opportunity to increase your income to that level. If the answer is NO, then you need to look for business opportunity that can help you get to that level of income.
Now remember, it will not happen overnight, it will take time and will take work to build your business to that income level but at least it is possible. In many jobs there is simply no chance to get to that type of income level.
