DON’T THINK — DO

Today I wanted to talk about less thinking, more doing. What am I talking about? Let me ask you a question, have you been struggling? Have you been not getting results you want to get in your life and especially in your business? Have you not been earning as much as you'd like to earn?



I may just have an answer to that. I've been in a home based business and network marketing for the last eight years. So I met hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people, both successful and not so successful and one thing that I've noticed that there's a group of people who come into the home based business who are too smart for their own good.

So they may have had really good jobs previously, or they may have run different type of businesses previously, they may have finished a lot of education, couple of degrees in university. So they're so smart and then they come into network marketing and network marketing is a very simple business. I mean, it's not easy, but it's simple. I mean, you don't need to be a rocket scientist, you don't need to be a brain surgeon in order to do this business.

What happens is these people will come in and usually they get recruited by somebody successful who has experience, who has results, who's already making good money, who's already built a big team, who's already a great leader and that person starts teaching this new person who came into the business, says, “Hey, in order for you to succeed, in order for you to make money, what you need to do is this, this, this and this.” And they go, “Yeah, but I think, if we did this, and I think if we did that, and I think also, if we...” I already know, it's game over.

Don’t think, you don't need to think, you just need to do. So one of the worst things you can do is I'm thinking about it, I'm thinking how to make it better, I'm thinking how to improve it and most of the time, people who are doing the thinking are people who haven't got any experience in network marketing, they haven't got a clue what they're doing but they are thinking that they know better than the person who’s already making the money, than the person who’s already built a huge team, than the person who’s already achieved a huge rank, but they think they will know better, they think they’re go to improve the system.

Very often when people come into the business, and go like, “Oh, I was just thinking, we could improve this product in this way and I've been thinking we could improve the company in that way and we could improve the marketing plan in this way.” I go, “Oh, stop it there, stop it there.” I go, “Would it be okay if you could make 50,000 pounds a month in this business?” And of course, without exception, everybody goes, “Of course, it would be amazing.” So I go, “Look, we already have systems and structures in place that has helped people to make over 50,000 a month.

Let's get you first to that income and once we got you to that income, then you can improve the company, then you can improve the products, then you can improve the marketing plan and everything else, but for the time being, let's just get you making money first, before you start making improvements.”

Too many people are too clever for their own good. One of the best skills in network marketing is to learn to listen to instructions. Stop thinking, stop thinking, “Oh, I think it shouldn't be that, I think that would be…” Don’t! Just follow the freaking instructions; do what you're told to do and you'll start getting results, and you'll start making the money.

But the problem is that too many people are too clever for their own good and they’re changing the system. If somebody's been in network marketing for 30 years, and written a book that describes word for word, how they have made millions of dollars in network marketing, wouldn't it be clever just to take the book and follow it to the letter? Like it would be logic, it would make sense. But guess what most people do? They take the book, and then they start changing it. They start improving it, they start adding their twisted, and guess what happens? They stop getting results. Then all over sudden, they’re sending these messages like, “I'm not getting any results.” “Well, are you following the system?” “Oh, well, I decided I need to improve it. I decided I want to change the look.” Come on. Come on.
 It's like if you have a recipe to make the cake, you'll follow the recipe, you don't go, “Well I want to put my twist in it and I will add more flour and less water and more eggs.” It's going to be a disaster. It's not going to work; it’s not going to be right. It's not going to be as good as it's supposed to be because you're not following the recipe.

Well same in network marketing, same in home based business, we have a recipe for this business. We have a recipe that works, that makes a delicious cake. That makes a delicious business that makes you income that makes your team grow. Just follow the recipe. Stop thinking, just do it!
