Don’t get distracted by INACTIVE people!

Today I want to talk about inactive people, and how to react to those people in your team. So what to do with inactive people?

Very often I come across network marketing leaders who say, “Oh, I've got so many inactive people in my team, what should I do about them, it worries me. It doesn't give me peace or whatever; I want to make sure that they do something.” And this is not the right strategy because if inactive people in your team stop you from being active, then it's actually quite the opposite. Actually you’re doing something completely the opposite from what you're supposed to be doing. You see inactive people are inactive people and if they are inactive, most likely they're going to stay inactive.

Now of course, you can provide them with information, you can put them on your email list, you can add them to your Facebook and WhatsApp groups and all sorts and they can keep getting the information. So when they're ready to work, when they're ready to become active, then they can step up and become active again. But you as a leader, you should not be slowing down to wait for the inactive people to catch up. You should not be stopping your activity and worrying what to do with the inactive people. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You should always stay active. So if you have inactive people, you know the best thing you can do for them, go do some work and let them see you doing the work. Don't worry about motivating them, don't worry about inspiring them, and don’t worry about giving them a pep talk.

Instead, you go do the work, and let them see that you're doing the work. And some of those inactive people, when they see you do the work, when they see you getting results, when they see you making money, getting that holiday, getting that car bonus, or whatever else, they'll say, you know what, maybe I should get back into activity too, maybe I should get back in action too. So how can you show them that you do the activity?

Well, whenever you recruit somebody, make sure you post about it in your team group, maybe on your Facebook page, maybe on your WhatsApp group. You get a customer, announce it to the team, hey, another customer amazing day. So don't do the work in secret. A lot of leaders make this mistake, whether it’s do the work, but nobody knows about it. They’re doing it in secret. Don't do that. Instead, do the work and make it public. So that your team doesn't get motivated; they get inspired by seeing you in action.

Because you worrying about people out of action, you calling people out of action, sometimes it will produce results, but very often it will not. And like Ray Higdon says the best thing you can do for your team is build a new one. So if you want to inspire your inactive team members, go recruiting, go selling, go building the business, go doing the trainings, go attending the trainings, and let them see that and then some of them will catch the spark and say you know what, I need to get back in action. I need to become active again.
