Does your business need CPR?

I want to ask you a question. Does your business need a CPR? So the title of this blog is does your business need a CPR?

I'm not talking about the CPR when you stop breathing, and somebody has to go, one, two, three four. No, that's not the type of CPR I'm talking about. I'm talking about the CPR for social media. So if you want to get more engagement on your social media, you need to do CPR. So what does the CPR stand for? C stands for Comment.

So five minutes before you post, whether you’re posting a picture, an article, a video, or you're going to go live, five minutes before you start doing that, start commenting on other people's posts, start commenting on other people's stories. What this will do, it will warm up your social media. So you will start engaging with other people so that five minutes later when you go live or when you post something, it's a bigger chance that Facebook will show your posts to them. Because the way the Facebook thinks, if you’re liking their stuff, then maybe they will like your stuff too. So five minutes before you post anything or before you go live, go and comment on other people's posts and go and comment on other people's stores. So that's C, comment.

P stands for post. Then once you’re ready, you go ahead and you post whatever you post. You can put a picture, you can put a video, you can go live which is the most effective way to post things on social media. You go live. And again, your live might take about five minutes. When you first get started with lives, don't go nuts and do a 45 minute live because people are not used to you going live yet, and they don't know if there's going to be much value. So if your first live is 45 minutes, people might say, “Oh, that's a bit long. I don't have spare 45 minutes.” When you first get started, do you live five minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes tops. So that's P, CP.

And the last R stands for reply. So once you've gone live, once you posted something, and people start commenting, make sure that you reply to all the comments. So anybody who comments under your photo, anybody who comments under your quote, anybody who comments under your live, make sure you reply to them, because that shows that it's important to you and it creates more engagement on your posts and you get more results from it. So that's the CPR. Comment post reply. That's the CPR for your business and for your social media.
