Do you have a LEAD MAGNET? 🧲
I
want to talk to you about lead magnet and how that can serve you in your home
based business. First of all, what is lead magnet?
Well a lead magnet is a
piece of information or a piece of content that people get in exchange for
doing something. Very often, if you follow any of the internet marketers, they
will have like a PDF document, with answers to your questions or with useful
information or tips about something. And in order for you to get that PDF,
you'll have to leave your name and email. You leave your name and email, they
send you the PDF, and now they've got your email.
Now they can be sending you
more information. In a nutshell, that's a lead magnet. But it doesn't have to
be a PDF, it could be an audio file, it could be a video, it could be in
different formats. But it's some sort of piece of content that you give to
somebody in exchange for something. Now, you may say, “Oh Gediminas, but I have
to have a website, I have to have an email platform, I have to have all of
these things in order to capture people's details, right?” Don't worry about
that. If you have it awesome, you can definitely do that. I do that I collect
people's emails, and then send them more useful information. But you don't have
to do that to begin with.
To begin with, you could simply create a lead magnet and ask people to message you
on Facebook, if they want to get it. Why would you do that? Well, you know how
conversations lead to commissions? How the more conversations we have, the more
customers we'll get and the more team members ‘we’ll get? Well, wouldn't it be
nice if you didn't have to start a conversation, if people actually started the
conversation with you? Of course, it would be nice. Well, that's what lead
magnet comes in. What sort of lead magnet should you create?
Well,
imagine you have a product that helps people to lose weight. I have a product
that helps people to lose weight. So you could go on a secret website, where
there's a lot of useful information. I'll tell you this website; make sure you
write it down. Have you got a pen and paper handy? Okay, so the website is
G-O-O-G-L-E.com. Yeah, Google; that's the secret website. Let's say you have a
product that helps people to lose weight, you could go on Google, and type in
tips to lose weight and you'll have loads of blog articles, loads of videos,
loads of websites, where they will be giving free tips on how to lose weight. You
take a piece of paper and a pen, and write down all of those steps, maybe 10,
maybe 20, maybe 30, maybe 40 different tips. You write them down and then you
make them into a Word document or a text document or a PDF document, that's
your lead magnet.
Now
you could go live and the title of your live; five ways to lose weight and start
your live and you say, “Hey, guys, I've been doing a lot of research into
weight loss and weight management strategies. And today, I'm going to share
with you five strategies to lose weight. Strategy number one, don't eat after
six. Strategy number two, drink plenty of water, strategy number three, do
this.” Five strategies and once you finish with the five, you say, “Hey, oh, by
the way, I've also made a PDF document with another 25 different strategies
that can help you to lose more weight. If you'd like to get my PDF, drop me a message
into my Facebook.” What happens? Now who will message you? People who want to
lose weight or people who have no interest in weight loss? Of course, first of
all, only people who want to lose weight will watch your live. Friends that you
have on Facebook who have no need to lose weight, they probably won't even
watch that live video five tips on how to lose weight.
This
way, you're segmenting your audience and now those people will message you
saying, “Hey, I watched your live, I want to get that PDF with 25 strategies on
how to lose weight.” And they say, “Hey, awesome. When I'm in front of a
computer, I'll be sure to send you the free PDF. And by the way, are you using any
food supplements right now that would help you lose weight?” What have you just
done? You just converted that lead into a potential customer. Now, if they are
not using anything, what could you do? You could recommend them your product,
you could say, “Hey, alongside the PDF that I'm going to send you, would you
like more information about a product that I have, that could also help you to
lose more weight?”
You get it? This way you are attracting people to you using
your lead magnet, and then having a conversation with them in the messenger and
offering them your product 99% of your friends who didn't even watch the live,
they wouldn't even know that you had anything for sale because you’re selling
in the messenger. That's how you can use lead magnets and you could create as
many lead magnets as you want so it doesn't have to just be one it could be
what about weight loss? What about skincare? What about nutrition? You could
have so many of them and attract people to you without even having a website or
a funnel or lead capture pages; just using your messenger.
