Are you speaking to WOMEN in your marketing?
I wanted to talk about marketing to women in your network marketing business.
Are you doing it? Are you doing it in the right way? And if you're not doing
it, why the hell are you not doing it? I want to talk about marketing to
women. Are you marketing to women when you’re building your business?
Now, what
you may be asking me, “Well, why would I market to women? Why would I target
women?” Well think about it. 77% of people in network marketing are women. 77%
of your team, most likely are going to be women. Also, women are responsible
for 80% of buying decisions within the household. Because women will buy for
themselves, they'll buy for the children, they'll buy for the husband, for the
whole household.
Think
about it. If seven or almost eight people out of 10 who join network marketing
are women, and eight purchases out of 10 are made by women for the household, why
would you not market your product and your business to women? Why would you not
tailor it to women.
Now, when it comes to marketing to women, it might be
slightly different than how you would market to men because to men, men are
more abrupt, men are more quicker to make decisions, men are more sort of alpha
male testosterone driven quickly doing decisions type of guys, whereas women
very often, they need more love, more relationship, more emotional connection
with a product or with a business. And women very often will want to feel safe.
One of the ways for women to feel safe is to have trust, meaning, being
trusted, and being able to trust in you as a brand, in you as a business person,
in you as an entrepreneur.
When
it comes to making different marketing materials that you do, so whether that's
a picture post, whether that's a text post, whether that's a video or a Facebook
Live, you might want to think about different ways of marketing. So sometimes
you might be marketing for men, but sometimes you might be marketing for women,
and then think about the words that you use. Think about the demeanour that you
come across. And same way, once you've got those people in the business, once
you've got women in your business, then you need to learn and work on how to
treat these women in the business so that they do feel appreciated, they do
feel loved, they do feel safe, they do feel trusted.
All of those values are
extremely important and some will be more important to women than they would be
for men. Especially if you're a man, building a business, but even if you're a
woman, building a business, you need to think how do I approach people and how
do I treat them once they get into my business to make sure that you get the
best results in your marketing efforts, especially if you're going to be doing
some campaigns, if you're going to be doing some videos, that you want to attract
a certain demographic, you want to make sure that you're doing it in the right
way.
