Success Is A Way Of Life - Not A Destination

I want to talk about the fact that the leader can't do it all on their own. So I'm going to talk about the leadership role in network marketing. Today’s topic is a leader can't do it all on their own.



Actually, we had a training call this morning, about two hours call with a bunch of our leaders and I've learned this topic, if you like, this idea from one of our team leaders Margarita, she's a huge leader in our company, a diamond leader and she shared this idea and I thought, I go to an aha moment. I was just like, oh my god, how did I never think of that?

She compared network marketing business to basketball. And she said, “Look, imagine in a basketball team you have the leader, usually you have the person who's the leader in the basketball team, and then you have the rest of the team, but even if the team is losing, or the team is winning, imagine if the whole team said we give up.

What could the leader do in the in the team in the basketball team?” They couldn't do anything because one player could not play the game. The whole team has to play the game in order for them to win. You agree with that? So you can have the best leader in the basketball team, if the other four players are not playing, then there's no game. It has to be the whole team playing right in order for them to win the game. Well, home based business network marketing is the same way.

Sometimes people sit down and say, “Well, I let the leader go, I let the leader do.” But the leader on their own can only do so much. They can't build the organization by themselves. They can't do the qualification by themselves. The whole team has to come together and everybody has to do their bit in order for the whole organization to achieve a certain result.

No matter how great the leader is, if the team members are not playing, you can't get the result. And I thought, wow, genius is simply genius. Because sometimes if you're a leader, you'll feel like, “I'm going to just do it all on my own. I'll do everything by myself and I'll do it.” You can't, it's like you saying in a basketball game, “I don't need the other four, I'll just play on my own against this five people.” You can't, they were going to beat you like crazy. You're not going to win ever, you need the other four players.

Even if you're a great leader, you need to understand that business is a team sport. You can't do it all on your own in network marketing. You need to get other people on board with the same mission to achieve something in order for you to hit a certain level, hit a certain goal. So you need to speak to your team members and ask individually, what do you want to get out of this business? How can I help you get what you want from this business? How can I help you?

And then you helping those people get what they want all adds up into one final result that helps you and the whole organization to get what you want. Does that make sense? Does that make sense to you? And if you're not a leader, if you're just a team member right now and you're not here to counting yourself as a leader, the next time when there's a push, the next time when there's a chance to hit the higher qualification, you need to understand that you have to do your bit. You have to do your job in order for the whole organization to go, you can't step back and go, “Well, I’ll let everybody else do it. Nobody will notice that I'm not doing it.”

Imagine if everybody thought that, if everybody thinks nobody will notice that I'm not doing anything everybody else can do. And if everybody does that, then nobody's doing anything. So everybody has to chip in and everybody has to do their bit, somebody will do this much, somebody will do this much, somebody will do crazy amount. Now that's something else, but everybody has to do their bit in order for the team to reach their objective.
