4 steps to making progress in your life
I want to share with you four steps for
making progress in your life. Of course, this is mainly for those of you who
are in business, but actually, you could use this pretty much for any area of
your life. Okay, so what are these four steps to making progress in your life?
Well, step one is evaluate where you are. That's right. You need to be real and
true to yourself. So you have to be true to yourself because there's so many
people who are living in denial. Now, denial is not just the river in Egypt.
Denial is basically where somebody is trying to fool themselves into saying
that everything is fine. Everything is okay. There's no problem here.
So hey, step number one is actually to evaluate
where you are, and to say, “Hey, look, I'm not where I want to be, I'm not
getting the result that I want to get, I'm not doing the things I'm supposed to
be doing, and so on.” Is to be real and true to yourself and evaluate for sure,
for real, where you actually are right now because if you're not honest with yourself
about where you are, then you cannot go somewhere else, you cannot change your
life. So number one is evaluate where you are. So that's number one.
Number two, is then decide where you want to go, where
you want to be. So that's your goal setting, that’s your setting, a course of
action where you can go to. So again, you need to know where you want to be.
There is so many people that when I speak to them, they don't actually have a
real idea where they want to be. Like they know roughly, but not for sure. So
if you ask them, “Hey, how much money would you like to make?” “Oh, I would
like to make more?” “Well, here's one pound, you've got more now, you happy?” “Oh,
no, I want a lot more.” So how much more? You know what I mean? What's the
number? I want to buy a house? Well, how does this house look like? How many
bedrooms does it have? Where is it? So it has to be precise. Do you actually
know where you want to go? Do you have a real written down plan of what you
want to achieve? So that's number two, decide where you want to be?
The number three is a super important one. And this
one, I think so many people miss this one. And that's why they fail to achieve
their plans. That's why they fail to change their life. The reason why so many
people don't achieve progress in their life is because they missed step number
three. And step number three is renew your mind every day. Renew your mind
every day.
What does it mean? Renew your mind, it means you need to energize
yourself every single day, you need to work on yourself every single day, you
need to grow yourself every single day. So that's your personal development.
That's your visualization. That's your goal setting. That's your goal, getting
that you're reading your goals and so on. So that's where you’re renewing your
mind because as soon as you isolate yourself from personal development, as soon
as you distance yourself from spending time with other people that are on the
same mission as you, as soon as you start just boiling in your own juice, you already
started the decline, you already started going away from your goals, not closer
to your goals. So you want to renew your mind on a daily basis so that it's
fresh, it's energetic, it’s excited, it can’t wait to get to the goal that you
want to get. So that's step number three.
Then step number four, is, again, a very, very
important one is make and follow the plan. Now, it's important that there's two
words in there, make and follow. Very often people just make a plan. So they'll
sit down and oh, well, I'll do this, this, this and this and then they don't do
it. And they're surprised why their life hasn't changed. They surprised why
they’re not making progress, right?
So making a plan is just one half of the
thing. The other half is actually to follow that plan on a daily basis. You
have to be crushing it instead of being crushed. You know what I mean? You have
to really, really, really focus on it every single day, if you want to make it that
progress, because the consistency is the key. So it's not about making a
massive progress in one day, and then doing nothing for three months, then
really that's not going to work out instead, do little progress, but every
single day, every single day. Because guess what, if you do something every
single day, it becomes a habit, it becomes easy, it becomes a natural part of
your day and it's easier for you then to make that progress.
