4 steps to a SALE

I wanted to talk about selling, actually a four steps to making a sale. When I'm saying selling it actually applies to selling a product, but also selling your business opportunity to somebody. You can apply to many different various situations.

Step one to selling and again, for some of you, this will be a counter intuitive because very often when you sell something, you want to talk about it. You want to go right into telling them about what you have to offer, but that is a mistake. If you rush to show the person what do you have to sell or rush to tell about what you've got to offer, then you’re sort of putting yourself in a worse situation than you actually could.

Actually, the first step is to find out what are they using now? Whether you’re selling a product to somebody, or you’re selling, you're trying to sell your business opportunity, find out what are they using now? What sort of business are they doing now? What product are they using now?
That’s step one. You’re identifying what is it that they using right now? Or what sort of business opportunity are they doing right now?

Step two; you ask them, “What do you like about it? You're using this product at the moment, what do you like about it? You’re with this company right now, you're doing this business opportunity, or you did this business opportunity in the past, what did you like about it?” “Well, I like this, I like that. I like this.” “Great.” You’re finding out what is this person looking in that particular product? What is this person looking in when they join the business opportunity?

Step three then, you ask them, “What would you like to improve if you could? If you could make it better, if you could make this product better, if you could improve it, what would you like it to do? Or how would you like it? Or business opportunity?”

Let's say they did network marketing in the past, what could have been better with it? How would you like to it would have been better? What would you have changed if you could have changed when you used to do network marketing? And then you're finding out what is it that they were not happy about? What they want it to improve, and how would they prefer it to be? That’s step three.

And then finally, step four, this is when you start talking about what you've got to sell. Then you create a solution for them by using the benefits of your product. If your product can tick the boxes that they want, so your product does what they wanted to do, and your product maybe even improves on the product that they used to use, now you say, “Hey, let me show you how this product could solve these problems for you by these benefits that this product have.”

And same for the business opportunity. Let's say they did network marketing in the past, it didn't work out, they didn't make much money, or for whatever reason, they quit. Now you could say, “Hey, you did what marketing in the past, this is what you liked about your network marketing. This is what you wanted to improve. Let me tell you how our business opportunity will actually tick all of these boxes and you basically creating a solution for them by using the benefits of your product or your business opportunity. And that's the four steps to making a sale of your product or your business opportunity.
